    So cool that you are allowed to take your bike on the train, and also on the bus! The view of the falls is stunning, and from the hotel is even better! We would love to go there and see it.

      The weekend train has actual bike carriages and runs all the way to Niagara. They just restarted it back again.

    I had no idea you could take the train to Niagara! Thanks for clarifying the current options versus the usual options. Great info.

      They just restarted weekend service from Aug 1, the weekday is still suspended so you have to do half by bus like I did.

    Never seen a bike rack on a bus, glad you could still get there on the bus.

    It's interesting that you can bring your bike around. And it seems that things are getting better after the pandemic in your country. It's good.

    I'd be taking the train to Niagra Falls too. Much more relaxed way to travel. You had a clear view of the falls from the hotel. Obviously people are generally staying off the streets and not using public transport as much during this uncertain time. In the Netherlands one needs a mask to travel on public transport as social distancing is a problem. Only on your train that wasn't the case. Keep smiling and stay safe 🎥👍🌷🙋‍♀️

      Its a 2.5 hr trip and not so scenic most of the way but I've done it twice with my bike. Its against rush hour probably why its not too busy. Thanks for watching

    Well that's a neat way to get to Niagra falls. I want to go there and make a video there as well!

      They have reinstated the weekend train back but the train and Niagara are both crowded on weekends. This is how to do it on weekdays

    I love how much you use bike, really great hobby/habit, for so many reasons. Cool double decker trains. And so nice you live so close to Niagara Falls. How long does that journey take you?

      Its 90 mins by car or 2.5 hrs by transit. I stayed overnight in the further videos so wanted to take my bike and not have to worry about parking.

    You narration is very good and I am motivated to take my bike 😊to Niagara Falls . Does ever go train compartment has bike parking place or we need to find particular compartment for the bike ?

      The weekend trains in summer go all the way to Niagara and have the bike racks on certain carriages. The weekday trains are regular trains, only goto Burlington, and no bike racks.

    Can you come back to Toronto on the same day... like- does the bus and GO train move every hour BACK AND FORTH??? Can we go during the weekdays?

    • @Departures1
      @Departures1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the bus runs both ways every hour. The train to Niagara only runs on weekends otherwise you have to take the bus half way from Burlington like I did on weekdays. The updated schedule is in the video description below. I believe there are four weekend trains each way.

    Niagara falls just looks wonderful. Great you could take your bike on the bus as well. Masks aren't mandatory yet on public transport? The $17 one way was that only to the main station or was that the cost all the way to Niagara falls?

    • @Departures1
      @Departures1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      $17 is for the entire route. Everybody takes their masks off on the bus/train so it doesnt do anything.

    you never showed where the bike was stored on the train :S

      I think I did, on the lower level behind the handrails on the row right angle do the door. On the weekends they have a bike train with bike racks on lower level - see blog > v2.travelark.org/travel-blog-entry/londone7/28/1438715634
