    I bought a Colman Gold 4P in 2020 lockdowns, so unseen in person. Your video helped so much. It's been on heaps of fantastic trips as a solo female and is super easy to set up on my own. And it always packs up and fits back in the bag without fighting! That's my favourite feature of the many many features!

    I don't know what exactly it is but I just came from one of your competitors videos on these and I couldn't watch theirs so I wanted to watch yours just so I could actually watch about this product from you guys (again). Snowy's videos are done very professionally which is a pleasure to watch considering you guys really are only a camping store and not the manufacturer so good work on the filming from the crew but also good work for you personally as well Ben as you seem naturally confident in front of the camera which it doesn't matter if that's true or not, that's how it comes across. Keep up the great videos. Also I keep seeing your videos as ads so finally I am actually happy to watch the ads sometimes too 👏👏👏

      Wow, thanks for your positive comments here, Trevor, I'm glad you found the video useful and I really appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback.
      We will keep making these videos, there are more products to review than time allows so we aren't short of work here. :)
      Happy camping ~ Ben

      @@SnowysOutdoors all good. I actually made a purchase of the darche 1200 sleeping bag and the exped 100mm megamat which was through recommendations from a forum and seeing the videos for them definitely helped me make my mind up. Also I nearly died with how quickly it arrived from S.A to Melbourne (I think by memory it was ordered on the weekend and delivered either Monday or Tuesday arvo). Snowy's seriously is setting the bar in all aspects. Cheap prices amazing service quality products and then there's the added bonus of being able to see the products through professional filming.
      You will hear bad reviews well and truly before you hear good reviews as most people are quick to talk about the bad, but when I'm as impressed with a company as I am with Snowy's, it's only fair to support that company however you can.
      Also the comparative video of the Coleman instant up tents, Black wolf, Tent and I think there was 1 or 2 others was brilliant. I think where possible Snowy's should make a few more like that for those that are undecided about other products, not just tents but maybe sleeping mats, possibly sleeping bags, cooking equipment etc. Either way just keep up the amazing work all round

    Wrapping the tent in the top cover when packing it away definitely helps protect the tent when travelling

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      By top cover I assume you mean the flysheet, Polly, and if so I'd recommend being careful that the flysheet doesn't get damaged if it is wrapped around the tent. I'd personally rather a hole appeared in the tent inner than in the flysheet. ~ Ben

    • @R_Polly
      @R_Polly 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SnowysOutdoors yeh correct fly sheet. People who strap a tent to their roof top sometime accidentally over tighten and bend the poles. Especially if they are like these tents with extendable poles it writes off the tent.

    • @SnowysOutdoors

      They help to keep the awning eyelets on the poles when it's windy, so they dont slip off.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most tent warranty claims are on account of people not considering wind during pack up and set down, hence why I mention it a lot in our set up / pack down videos. If you set it up right, which must be what you have been doing, Duncan, you won't have issues. ~ Ben

    @joelclarkanderson9469 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You keep mentioning the wind factor the whole way through, doesn't sound like it holds up too well.
    Another review i read stated "Because of the vertical walls (which make for a spacious interior), the tent does very much catch big gusts" .
    Ill look elsewhere thx

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fair enough Joel. The trouble is that too many people expect these tents to defy the laws of physics, the tent is boxy and offers excellent living space, but the down side of this is that the sides are large, flat and upright, hence catch a lot of wind.
      This can be said for any tent of this design, and the only way around this would be to use very heavy duty fabric, but this would make it very difficult to pitch and heavy to lug around.
      If you want a tent that can handle persistent and strong winds, then look for a dome or something with a more aerodynamic shape.

    I am gonna take a guess and say this is not your 1st rodeo. You did that set up like an expert.
    So, having said that, I would like to meet the person Coleman claims to have set this thing up in 2 minutes. I mean, that is so far beyond false advertising. It is just a blatant lie.
    It takes me more than 2 minutes to get the Esky out of the Mini before I even consider setting up a tent.
    Not that I care though, we are camping, what's the rush. Sometimes I get too deep into the Esky I can't even find my tent. And there is not much area to search in a Mini. I often forget to check the roof racks though.
    Damn fine tent though. I love mine.
    And a damn fine instructional video. It will be even more instructional when I work out how to turn the volume on.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm glad you found the video useful. I get what you mean regarding the 2 minutes, it could be argued that the main portion of the tent can be set up in 2 minutes, so not entirely a lie but not necessarily a useful stat. But, I reckon if I had everything ready to go i.e. pegs, hammer etc, the ground was peg friendly, and I had clear space around me, I could get it setup in a few minutes, but then again, like you say, what's the rush anyway. ~ Ben

    Not exactly 2mins as they advertise.

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's doable, but only with some prep and 2 sets of hands. 10-15 minutes is more realistic for everything to be setup. ~ Ben

    Great tents, but doesn’t matter which one you buy the pegs are made for sand not hard Aussie bush

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      These pegs are no good for sand, Aussie Grows, they are ok in firm ground but we recommend purchasing additional heavy duty pegs to suit the ground you are camping on for the main stress points i.e. guy ropes and corners. ~ Ben
