That's a pretty tough one there. The road narrows quite a bit where the guard-rails are, add some snowbank and I bet it gets alot skinnier. You guy's might have to make a new ditch trail and bridge the water spots. Be safe.

IMO, this is probably an attempt to aquire more funds. Michigan townships and their county road commisions are struggling to keep their roads up. The infrastructure we have created is more costly to maintain now than what it was to build even when you adjust for inflation. Our gas tax and and vehicle registrations are all going up in 2017(vehicles 20%) to help pay for this. If blame for something can be placed on something other than the general public it helps to recover expenses. In our area they have even gotten money from local farmers. Maybe Michigan should reconsider their weight limits when compared to other states. I would not put it past the local government attempting to get money from another state department or recreational organization to fund this. Understanding how our township roads, County primary roads and state highways are funded would shed some light on this. Not saying it's right or wrong, I agree or disagree but this is probably the case.

This has nothing to do with the road. This has everything to do with personal feelings against snowmobiling and snowmobilers. There are at least 2 people on the board who do not like anything about snowmobiling. If they could shut H-58 down all together they would. Snowmobilers are now going to go down H-58 to Miners rd and into the park. Not the trail, How smart is this. More sleds on the road. Real Smart Fellas. The frinken logging trucks cause way more damage than snowmobiles. Wake up, ACRC.
