I love the fact that this man plays the piece with hues and colors almost entirely. But it is a bit unusual however, it is the best that I have heard. So, Ilove him and this piece and the performance.
oh, indeed one more comment (I wrote the other before hearing the encore): I had to fight against the tears while hearing the lark, ...and I lost. On the one side it is so rare to hear something so beautifull, on the other side the whole melancholy of the poem text is there transformed to piano sound, it is so difficult not to get emotional when hearing this. One of the best examples of russian piano mastery of all times.

If I say that this Rach Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini is a little worn out, I probably get some nasty comments. I say it anyway.
