The only aim in Rust is to survive. To do this you will need to overcome struggles such as hunger, thirst and cold. Build a fire. Build a shelter. Kill animals for meat. Protect yourself from other players, and kill them for meat. Create alliances with other players and form a town. Do whatever it takes to survive.

I've always felt like I have a lot more fun watching Welyn dominate than I have playing rust myself, as much as I hate that fact. I like the fact that they said "He's cheating he's cheating." Then a few seconds later they ask Welyn if he wants to team up even though they accused him of cheating associating with cheaters can be a banable offense.
As a hardcore crossout player, be ready to grind it hard or spend money because it's a grind or pay to win game for sure. Definitely fun if you like cars builders and shooter games, and i want to mention that there's all kinds of crazy weapon types. Crossbows, energy cannons and guns, shotguns of all kinds and sizes, and of course giant canons and the occasional flame thrower. And dont forget the barrels. Never underestimate the barrels, they are truly brutal. You will know what I mean when you find the barrels

What do y'all think of a rust update where they remove tech tree (keep research obviously), and make it so certain items can only spawn at certain monuments (like tommy's only spawn at Arctic or train, while L9s only spawn in cargo crates). While you'd have to move around more, I feel like it'd make some of the useless monuments more usable, PvP would be way more frequent, and it'd mean you can decide which tier weaponry you wanna fight people with depending on where you're living right then. And yea, that's obviously already a thing, but instead of basing it off of just what good monuments you're by, it's based on what items you can get from said monument, which also means you might need to have multiple bases around the map just for certain items. (Sayin' this cuz I feel like Rust has just become the same old basic grindy progression, with nothing really 'new' being added to the game besides new items. Even the Train monument update is basically an unlimited try side-quest with the same basic loot (though I do like the unloading/protecting part of it)). And no, this isn't me hatin' on the current game/meta, just throwing some ideas around
Honestly kinda like it, I think there'd need to be a separation of this from the base game tho and just go all in with the scavenging
