GIRL. I just started working on a novel three days ago where as I'm outlining, I'm realizing that the main character has a flat arc. Then just now i see this video in my subscriptions. Brilliant.

This was a very interesting video, there are not enough people covering this. But I do miss the flat arc of mystery novels. I tend to arc the villain in those, if anyone. Maybe you could consider looking at a mystery too for the next part?
I was wondering about that. Maybe the detective in a mystery novel is not really considered a flat arc? Kind of like a superhero or a character like Indiana Jones, typical detectives in mystery novels have pretty much no arc at all. Would be interesting to get a clarification on this.
