Budting up your pto u joints...more time and expense than if you had simply cable tooled it to 25-30 feet
i cut up some 2-3/8 drill pipe and used short sections of 2-7/8 drill pipe as collars. you can buy the pipe by the stick (30') at Mccoys or you can do like i did and find a local vendor on facebook who delivers.

Might have to make each rod shorter. Glad someone is giving it a go.
5’ extensions steal pile 2” in diameter . Lot of in and out.
