      I was thinking the same thing also.

    • @davutturk
      @davutturk 4 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Cause forward foot is stable, and they need to arrange that block of brigde when they set in some forward and backward moves, if they put front leg to pier, they cannot move bridge block anywhere.

    • @Usmcpvtjones
      @Usmcpvtjones 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It's all weight and leverage.
      If they needed the second bridge Pier for support, something's gone wrong to the point it's irreversible.

      @@davutturk & @Waterworld 360, you guys are good, very good. I didn't catch it at all. I agree with Davut that they need to be able to wiggle the machine for the girder's best fit even with laser sights for line-up, thus the forward foot was not set aground.

    • @yaglehoole5662
      @yaglehoole5662 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wait, they don't wiggle the machine. The wiggling for adjusting the girder fit can and should be done through the lifting cable assembly. So the forward foot should be set aground. Maybe it was an oversight of the supervisor on site. By the look of the telescoping legs -- should I say toes? -- of the forward foot, I think it was designed to be set on top of the far-end pillar.

Now that the US only cares about how high the stock market is and how wealthy the top 100 billionaires are, we can only sit back and watch the rest of the world leave us in the dust. It won’t be long before we lose the world reserve currency status I’m sure.

    By extension of this ingenious machine's design, they can also automate the placement of pre-fabricated pillars. They do still need to manually build the plinths on which the pillars sit though. Just a thought. Is it true that it's designed, manufactured, and operated only by the construction company (instead of heavy machinery manufacturers)?

    My first thought is how much stress is put on the existing bridge when having the weight of the machine AND another block of bridge being carried over it. Surely it exceeds the maximum capacity? Maybe since they are doing it “just once” it’s ok. Wonder if they get any stress fractures.

      Understandable, but as the married widow drowned, the propane tank sang to the porpoise. When the helicopter proposed lunch, the propeller saw the midnight daylight yesterday at you. Laughingly, the robin gasped, while moonbeams ate marshmallows inside the deer. Aware of pencils, aroma heard floor tiles selling whales. Branded as lost is the umbrella, as it elopes at tires. Wherein the thesis seams chicken openly, it only missed the elevator by rainfall. Quietly, fires argue as to when the crow sounds popcorn afternoon today. Heavy borrows irrigate crime with ice cream whelps instead of Krylon drips.

    This would be great for building the new Light Rail Train from Tappan Zee Bridge(Mario Como) through Westchester County that could go all the way to Grand Central Station in NYC. So We were told by NYS. But instead they going to build the new Buffalo Football Stadium with at least 850,000.00 million dollars of NYS taxpayer so the new Governor of NYS will have a free luxury box for her and family, who is friends with Owner of team worth over 7 billion dollars.
