Interesting thought on the carpet ends and the u channel. Looks good though. Just had another thought that you can get black silicone sealant, maybe just run a bead of that down there?

A bit overengineered the claddin on the back doors: since he's using U channels, he just has to make sure these channels are secure and the cladding will slide into it and be secure. That's not much weight for the bottom channel to support something like 8 cladding PVC boards.
And the beauty of it is that the channels can be fixed with screws because it's not visible!

Enjoying the series and process, Matt! Even though I am not into Van Life myself, I enjoy watching it. As a trained cabinet maker, I cannot wait for the interior design work. :D

Hi Matt, not sure if the 4 way stretch carpet breaches the door seals on the door shuts, you could get water soaking through as that area the is outside.
Keep up the good work, Andy.

What, no mitred corners on the carpet around the window frame 😂

I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.

The u-trim looks fiddly but worth it. Magnets might do a good job of holding it in place temporarily?
