I own an emove cruiser. Notes for prospective buyers of this and others in the class: 1) Range as stated is deceptive. Travel at 20 mph and the range drops considerably. Also, power is reduced very noticeably when at 50% of range and much more so the closer to 0 you get. 2) None of the scooters are waterproof similar to most ebikes. Try not to ride in the rain. Don’t trust ip6 ratings as the fine print usually doesn’t match that. 3) Scooters are less practical than ebikes and EUCs. The small tires limit things like off-road/pothole-ridden/brick riding in ways that larger wheels can overcome. 4) Most scooters are built for 200lb riders. Weight limit ratings don’t mean a lot as far as I’ve seen. Don’t be jumping off curbs with this scooter when carrying 2 people. 5) This is probably the best 2-person scooter I’ve seen. Mine is slow and tops out around 20mph with two, but it can fit a large child whereas with other scooters I wouldn’t want to try it.
You're the man Ginger On Wheels! We appreciate you doing the range test for us. I'm sure it would have been brutal on the EMOVE since it has so much range. I even understated your range test by saying 52 miles.
And when you got the 57 miles out of it what was your riding habit like? We’re you passive and just cruised on flat planes without much stopping? Or were you aggressive and accelerated to max speed and had to stop and go a lot and were you going up hills a lot too?
All I needed was the "quick and dirty" summary. After 18 different videos on this Cruiser, thank you for leading with what I hadn't heard instead of all the stuff I've already heard. You information was EXACTLY what I needed to know. Thank you!
Good honest review. Speaking from experience, I would recommend unscrewing the top of the deck and sealing it up with some silicon sealant. Especially if you’re planning to spray it with the hose like that. Awesome range and good speed.

@Case Jasnoch the voltmeter and key combo broke so I took it off and rewired it so it works without the key. I have 4 plugs in the front tire it still slowly loses air but holds the air for half a day. Still working though.
Did you have a chance to review the 2021 version of the Cruiser? Looks like the one on this video is the 2020 version. Under some angles your review unit looks red, and seems red color was introduced for 2021 version only. Thanks!
I wouldn't trust rain or shine review. I purchased this and after 3 months and riding in rain few times, the whole thing died on me. Company says warranty doesnt cover the water damage. I even bought extra 2 years of warranty.
I have the Ninebot Max G30 and top speed is 19mph for me. I usually cruise around 15mph and it's the perfect speed for cruising and enjoying the road/site seeing/observing my surrounding. As soon as I step it up to 19mph it's was more for the thrill, trying to pass something, just because I can, at 19mph the focus is the road/path which takes away the enjoyment of the surrounding. If the Emove top speed is 25mph, I think this is more than enough for most people. I think the Emove will be my next scooter because of the range and it's not sluggish by any mean either.
I never knew something like this existed but I just moved to Denver and lots of people have them so I thought I would look into it. I am 300lbs so I figured I wouldn't be able to find anything but I think I am gonna give this a try. The extra wide deck and huge battery is really what sells me on it because as a larger person I need the extra stability and power. These are so cool I almost bought a tricyle for like $1500 that was gonna have to be fitted with a kit to make it electric but the motor was not nearly as powerful as this thing plus it was a bike with a seat which is way less comfy for a 300lb person. Even with an extra wide seat traveling on a bike sucks lmao. But standing on a scooter deck I'm pretty sure I can do that. Ooooh I'm excited now. Gonna see if I have a dealer near me.
I currently ride my first scooter, a splach ranger that does 22mph, 20 miles, weights 48 lbs, and now considering my next ride but hopefully a dual motor (for hills and bridges) performance commuter that’s portable and under $2k. I’m willing to wait for what i want. 53 lbs is barely acceptable (i live 2 flights up); wishlist : stem & deck lighting and horn with buttons on the handlebar for being seen and heard; no headlight (i prefer handlebar space to put a headlight with the lumens i need instead); rubber suspensions (read how nicely they perform compared to springs); thumb throttle; sine wave controller; turns signals are good for some folks who ride nights, if they flash the ground to the sides and they’re bright enough (cars barely pay attention when any vehicle uses turn signals, so i let everyone proceed before i turn); future wants : stem brazons on the handlebar riser for a small rack/water bottle cage; am i wanting too much? Oh i almost forgot, a future concept for the design team specialists: a slow dual drive gear with enough deck height to clear steps so you could walk along side the scooter holding the handlebar as it drives itself up steps (then the modest extra poundage isn’t a problem); yup, i’m really looking to the future,

I am all about power and don't care to go super long distances. I love the extra power of dual motors. However, you are in the pacific northwest where it is very wet. The VSETT 9+ does have a IP54 water resistance rating. If you don't expect to go over 25 miles in a ride, the VSETT 9+ is a sweet scooter due to its dual motors.

Awesome video! How would u compare the ride of this to vsett 9R+? Not looking for speed per say... smooth ride and feels safe as my wife will use it from time to time! Cheers!
I like the 9+r a little more simply because it's dual motors and the stem locking mechanism. The EMOVE Cruiser has a wider and longer deck, but the front does have a little flex. However, you will spend more money on the 9R+ and won't get as much range. But few need the full range of the EMOVE Cruiser.

How did you find the throttle? I had to return mine because the throttle was twitchy/jerky and half the space in the throttle was dead space. Didn't feel safe in traffic and while turning as there was no dependable throttle control. I find this aspect missing from many scooter reviews, but it seems like one of the most important when it comes to safety.
@@freshlycharged true - but he didn't specify whether he returned just the throttle or the scooter. Separately, there are too many people on YT acting like "throttle control" on a scooter should be similar to that of a motorcycle.

The EMOVE brand will be the most watched electric scooter today. It is safe and convenient, travels at any time, shuttles through the streets and alleys, wherever you want to go, you can enjoy the fun at ease. In addition, its appearance design is generous and stable. There is a sense of the times. More importantly, after-sales service is more admirable. In short, I like EMOVE, I have personal experience, safe, stable, high-end quality, the only trustworthy choice.👍👍👍
> Wish it had dual motors Dual motors would increase weight and price. As for me it is best with one rear motor like now. > and higher speed of 25 mph Speed 25 mph is electronically limited and could be raised as far as I understand. Voro site tells that "Freeload Speed for BLDC Hub Motor (Used in EMOVE Cruisers) - 82km/hr++" Speed under load should be lower but not as far as 25 mph
2:40 As a person that buys professional medical equipment on Alibaba I testify that is a dumb statement. We can send pictures; video clips, and even have live video conversations. 📹 📹📹📹📹📹📹
Please understand, VORO Motors does NOT make this scooter. It is entirely produced in China. The deck is NOT as wide as it appears in any video. The usable area of the deck is 7.5 inches wide. The edges of the deck are sloped downward an additional unusable 1.25 inches on both sides, but this area will NOT safely bear the rider's weight (because your foot will slide off the scooter). It is possible that tall riders (over 5 ft. 10 in.) might NOT find this scooter comfortable or safe to drive because the handlebars have limited height (45 inches, max from the ground). VORO Motors makes it very clear that the scooter should NOT be washed with a jet of water. Why do you repeatedly show the scooter being sprayed with a water jet from a garden hose? The brakes are of moderate quality. They require regular tuning if you ride every day.
I've owned this scooter for a year. I don't see AT ALL how it is water resistant. There are no gaskets anywhere. I don't see any seals whatsoever. Water collects in the battery compartment in the slightest drizzle. I like the scooter but water resistance is a lie.
This is just another "review" among the hundreds already out there. You can tell they either don't own one or they've never talked with anyone who does. I have owned a Cruiser since the summer of 2020. It is NOT water anything. You are lucky it is still working after spraying it like that. Take the front off and see for yourself how there are exposed circuit boards and wires in there. The controller itself is not encased in any water-protective element. Someone should ask VORO to present their waterproof testing certification and explain what steps were taken to achieve it. The nuts and bolts on the Cruiser are constantly coming loose. You need to tighten them or at least inspect them before every ride. Other than that, I FUCKING LOVE my Cruiser and wouldn't trade it for anything! VORO's customer service is top notch. I simply don't ride through the rain and never, NEVER squirt it with water. The range is amazing just like these guys said. Definitely recommend the Cruiser, but please don't squirt it off like these knuckleheads do. You'll thank me. Again, don't believe me? Go ahead and take the front part off and look inside....
Finaly someone honest about the water issue! Thx stranger on the internet hahaha I had the same problem, rust and mold was starting to form inside because of the water and dust sitting inside, and one of the controller screw was rusting.. Plus other stuff about the back light and stuff (dm for more if you want to know more stranger reading).. So fortunatly VoroMotors was really nice and sended me another controller and other stuff (I am glad they are really nice people and try their best even for someone oversea like me). In all of that, what I did now it's just, covering all connector and electronics with the liquid rubber from Bostik. That should prevent any water to reach sensible electronic parts. For the throttle and other electronics on the handelbar, I just used some transparent spray seal that make a nice protective layer on top of the PCB. So ye, quite the work but worth for the amazing scooter that I am loving! Plus, because you can open it up all easily, it's easy to fix and play arround with it, like someone o saw making a new rear fender and stuff and like me next think changing the break with full oil break 🤩
The bottom of the scooter hits the ground when you fold it.. that will ruin the paint immediately and overtime will promote rust.. bad design.. looks cheesy.. requires maintenance.. visible cables.. generic parts.. not unique.. not portable.. great for riders that don’t know better

@@tofuprius3384 my pleasure! Hope you found the perfect scoot for your commute!
Same question here, thanks for this. Anything else IP rated with dual motors, dual suspension and dual disks in the 1000-2000 range worth looking at?
are the back tires solid also do they offer replacement tires?
ayyyy cool!!!
I want the varla eagle one but I can't find em used. I found this brand new condition used, but idk if I should go for it. The eagle one has CRAZY shocks and goes a lil faster than this. Idk 🤔
Dualtrons?
hey Jimmy, if you had to choose between a mantis pro se or emove cruiser 2021, which would you pick and why
love it!!!!
Do they offer replaceable batteries?
What's the top speed of this updated version?
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Does your 7% off code work at the Voro Motors NYC store? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
My friend is buying it next Wednesday. I'm going with him. Please let me know.

Hey bro what's the name of the blue helmet your wearing at 8 minutes, it looks cool?
Hello Sir I like your helmet it looks very safe
What kind of helmet is that
I want to get one
Thank you.
I thought the 2021 model has round T bars as oppose to square?
We reviewed this in January, and they updated the handlebars to round ones in late February. Great catch!
@@Andrew-vt4jt thanks. I received mine this week and they are rounded. Perfect for accessories
I just got my EMOVE a few days ago, been riding every day. I love tha speed, acceleration, tha breaking, and tha comfort. Tha only uncomfortable thing for me is tha use of tha throttle. Idk if that's because I need to get use to it.. It's been 3 days lol
Amazing scooters for the price!
How much warranty do t hey offer?
Thank you for the review, very useful! Would you recommend any competitor in the close price range? I weigh 270lbs and need heavy duty one. Anything going uphill faster than this one? Thanks
A dual motor scooter might suit you better if you have lots of hills around you. I would like to know more details. How many hills do you have by you and what type of range are you looking for?
@@Andrew-vt4jt Not many hills. North Jersey
@@lkrimer0123 they have updated it with a new motor so I think this may be a good fit for you. It's not going to fly uphills but it still has great hill climbing ability.
@@Andrew-vt4jt Thanks a lot!
How fast is the scooter
Up to 33mph

where the city you are in these video?
For the money spent it is a great eScooter
I never fold my Touring down! And never on my microgo either!
Hi Guys... Can some recommend a full face helmet that does NOT make me look like a bobble head? I ride a Wide Wheel Pro in NYC and I need something more low profile and lightweight
This or the mototech Thor?
Which svooters are water "proof?"
Which e-scooters are waterproof that you would recommend? ❤️🙏
Well I've been looking at one called "King wolf" it's 3k... but it's got motorcycle suspension (supposedly) and can go up to 60 mph but the rage is like 33 miles only.
@@gabe8138 high performance scooters aren’t really water resistant. There are no “waterproof” scooters either however, best one is likely the ninebot max.
@@Andrew-vt4jt appreciate the reply and advice! Sadly there is no retailer for voromotors here in NZ😞 so aftersales parts and service may become challenging. So now watching your reviews on the kaabo mantis 8+ (nz) or the pro (us/ca). M still verifying if they are the same thing... and will decided between that or the vsett9+ 🤔
I’m doing a ton of research on a second scooter I’m looking for one with dual suspension and hill climbing ability under a grand this might be the one I need more research on this one like ease of changing a flat
The new ones shipping out are tubeless. Looks like the one he has is the old version. They made quite a few improvements.
@@captaincaveman8532 Thanks... sometimes the youtube comments are even more helpful. I'm looking.
@@captaincaveman8532 Their tires have been tubeless pnuematic tires for a few years. The only difference this on has is a square handlebar vs rounded handlebar, and they have upgraded the motors to be slightly more powerful.
Strange. The throttle works fine on our scooter.
Ty, obviously you're clueless.
@@Al_Dente-d1p I've found the QC on these throttle can be hit or miss. There's a good chance he got a defective unit.
@@freshlycharged true - but he didn't specify whether he returned just the throttle or the scooter. Separately, there are too many people on YT acting like "throttle control" on a scooter should be similar to that of a motorcycle.
@@freshlycharged Possibly, but without a local store and time to check it out, I was under pressure with the 3 day return policy.
I weigh 350lbs and cruise on this scooter
Fuego 🔥🔥🔥
Great for the money
Thanks
I wish it did a solid honest 30-32 mph without question!!!!
Why in the world would they not make them roll when folded. Only a few offer this and it seems you would totally want that if you are traveling about....UGH
before purchasing I recommend taking a look at the official tire changing video and read comments 😂 you are not going to find that here..
The code didn't work....
How fast is it?
I get 33 mph I am 130 lbs

Once they cut the shot he said "im gonna need that back"
The EMOVE brand will be the most watched electric scooter today.
A real one for tipping the girl
All scooters should be made as waterproof as possible, but most aren't.
I can't believe you didn't say what the power was this entire video
> Wish it had dual motors
Dual motors would increase weight and price. As for me it is best with one rear motor like now.
> and higher speed of 25 mph
Speed 25 mph is electronically limited and could be raised as far as I understand.
Voro site tells that "Freeload Speed for BLDC Hub Motor (Used in EMOVE Cruisers) - 82km/hr++"
Speed under load should be lower but not as far as 25 mph
2:40
As a person that buys professional medical equipment on Alibaba I testify that is a dumb statement. We can send pictures; video clips, and even have live video conversations. 📹 📹📹📹📹📹📹

Ty some much 4 the code I've now waiting on my
Please understand, VORO Motors does NOT make this scooter.
Good advice!
@@freshlycharged thanks, and sorry for calling you knuckleheads
Finaly someone honest about the water issue! Thx stranger on the internet hahaha
I had the same problem, rust and mold was starting to form inside because of the water and dust sitting inside, and one of the controller screw was rusting..
Thanks for the extra tips
I waited the whole video just waiting for the top speed...
I can get up to 33mph
I am 130-135
Drink every time that guy in black says "actually"
I like Jimmie’s quick and dirty
This is 2 days old.
The bottom of the scooter hits the ground when you fold it.. that will ruin the paint immediately and overtime will promote rust.. bad design.. looks cheesy.. requires maintenance.. visible cables.. generic parts.. not unique.. not portable.. great for riders that don’t know better
Pretty much all scooters touch the ground when folded.
So what do you recommend?
@@javascriptkiddie2718 I have this scooter I have 1,550 miles it's a
Nice scooter great range and decent speeds. Can't beat the price for the range just do basic maintenance
I just folded my Emove Cruiser the bottom of the scooter doesn't actually touch the ground when it's folded
Did you just say Ali Baba? lol what!
Do not buy this scooter became they don't have battery replacement you will be left stranded.
not sturdy at all. made very cheap. avoid this product.
