My nephew and I were talking about the fight between SM33 and the pirates and it slightly reminded me when there were those droids in rebels that thrawn sent out that would extend their arms and legs.
I actually groaned when the Xwing landed because I was prepared for the pilot to be Teva and it would've taken me out of the show and annoyed lol I was pleased it was just a random pilot. I like Teva but no need to use him in EVERYTHING
That Tootsie Roll Mr Owl commercial is still running. 😂 That thing debuted in late 1969 or early 1970, and the company has yet to create a notable successor.
I liked how it was either Fern or KB who said "Maybe it's a string! Like a really tiny string" for how Jod moves things. *Acolyte Thread Flashbacks Ensue* 😳
In the opening scene crimson, jack used the force to lift the guy when he was trying to get into the vault. Very similar to the opening scene of a new hope. It would make sense without the Jedi Order the galaxy's force sensitives would rise to the top of whatever field they got involved with.
I don't love this show yet. But ... I do love the way fans have responded, and I do love sharing in this show week to week. It's great to have some real positivity around SW again.
KP has too mothers. But, honestly, who cares? It's part of the world nowadays... There's no "message" until now and it's pretty good! I'm really enjoying it! 😊
Regarding Jod and his Force abilities, when he causes a distraction noise down the hall to avert the guards' attention so that KD can pass, Wim asks him, "how did you do that?" and Jod answers, "practice." Maybe it's not a throwaway line?
Got a feeling SM-33 killed the crew, wiped At Attin from his memory and then powered off the ship. Don’t have a theory why yet, just feel he’s important.
Fern makes a fibbing joke about the proctor punishing people by putting them to work in the minds. I would wager that particular detail loops up and back around to the story
My only gripe was the explanation by the Owl was a bit too rushed. And was it really that easy to calculate where the planet is based off of some letters on Fern’s backpack? But besides that, I’m enjoying the show a lot more than I thought I would.
I want Star Wars to thrive in the future. Star Wars content has been like a rollercoaster over the past few years. There have been a few winners; however, there have been losers. I didn't watch The Acolyte and the sequel trilogy was not good. Kathleen Kennedy should retire and new leadership should be brought in. I will say, in my opinion, Star Wars Skeleton Crew so far is enjoyable. I will recommend it to others and hopefully others will do the same.
This episode had me going back and forth between scenes that I thought were good and ones that had me shaking my head. The overall trend though is upward so I hope that continues.
I think Force is sort of a very mystical concept. Sure, it's also a fun power to have that makes for amazing storytelling but it does require a special sensibility for a creator to nail it down. George Lucas clearly had it. Filoni does to a degree as well and I will be brave enough to say that even Rian Johnson gets it as well. (His fault lies in being too postmodern and deconstructive.)
It’s likely the kids can go home whenever they want. SM33 knows where it is…it said so…twice. When asked it says “I can’t speak of it”…not “I don’t know.”
Well, that 'levitating keys' trick certainly looked like it was bobbing on a string, and as Disney has access to ALL the CGI, this had to be intentional. I just wonder how he set up the string on the keys in the first place, but he was right about not bothering to escape until he had a ship he could get to quickly.
Hey Thor and Naboo. What would be a giggle is if this ended up being either the Empress Teta system of something on the outskirts of the Hapes Consortium.
I'm really enjoying the show it's not Peak Star Wars but it's pretty fun I'll give it a solid 8 out of 10 so far. What I really appreciate about you two is you don't give in to the clickbait titles, this was the episode that was supposed to have some kind of super woke messaging and it was basically two moms on a couch with one of the actresses, I don't think, even having a line of dialogue. While I agree with a lot of the youtube perspectives on disney. I Hate That grift on the right, just as much as some blue hair freak on the left screeching.
It is a shame that this show came out after The Acolyte. This is a bit like Andor following Kenobi and Book of Boba and it did not get good ratings. They play the decent shows after absolute trash. Skeleton Crew is coming out after Mando Season 3, Ahsoka disappointment, and Acolyte: atrocious. This is fun.
The show is...ok, didn't do much for me. I know its aimed at kids and that's fine. But im kinda bored watching it. After consuming sw content for over 20 years weather it be video games comics, novels, show ot movies. A show about some kids blasting off into hyper space, running from pirates, and a space owl isnt enough to get me riled up
Maybe if you considered it appreciating an art form instead of consuming content. Perhaps SW isn’t for you - what do you like to watch? What should Star Wars be to you?
@donfitz927 I meant 'consuming content' as I have consumed a lot of sw media over the year's. Watched all/most of the movie/TV shows, played most sw games, read dozens of the books/comics. I admit, i have not liked every single thing sw has put out before or after Disney, and no...every show was not made specifically for me or should impress me... but I know a good sw story line when I see it. Skeleton crew is ok. It's better than acolyte obi wan, book of boba so I guess that saying something
@@timcuedesignz2798 that's fair - i agree 100% - its better than Acolyte, ObiWan, and Book of Boba. And yeah, that's a low bar. I like the fact that it feels perfectly designed as a way to pass the torch from one generation of star wars fan to their kids. Or in my case, my students - since I teach. middle school :-)
Yeah, but Jedi and Seth are the best parts of Star Wars so that argument is stupid. I am enjoying scallop and crew though and I do think it’s pretty fun so far.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Kh'ymm's character design and execution is brilliant, indeed. It was a real highlight for me.
My nephew and I were talking about the fight between SM33 and the pirates and it slightly reminded me when there were those droids in rebels that thrawn sent out that would extend their arms and legs.
I see another Thor and Naboo video and I hit the play button! :D Always love to hear your voices guys.
Her voice makes you wanna unalive yourself
Some honest to goodness genuine enjoyment in both Thor and Naboos voices, it's been too long (In regards to SW).
The life monitor is a Easter egg referencing the Ewok movies!
Part of me was hoping Captain Teva was one of the X-Wing pilots. He’s fast become my favorite pilot after Wedge.
Same here. I know it would've been one heck of a coincidence, but I still wanted it to be Teva.
I actually groaned when the Xwing landed because I was prepared for the pilot to be Teva and it would've taken me out of the show and annoyed lol I was pleased it was just a random pilot. I like Teva but no need to use him in EVERYTHING

That thing debuted in late 1969 or early 1970, and the company has yet to create a notable successor.
The first two episodes were okay to me, but episode 3 was downright GOOD. Jude Law is the kind of actor they needed.
I liked how it was either Fern or KB who said "Maybe it's a string! Like a really tiny string" for how Jod moves things.
*Acolyte Thread Flashbacks Ensue* 😳
I would be concerned that if the New Republic caught them that they would be declared to be refugees and 'processed', never to be able to go home.
In the opening scene crimson, jack used the force to lift the guy when he was trying to get into the vault. Very similar to the opening scene of a new hope. It would make sense without the Jedi Order the galaxy's force sensitives would rise to the top of whatever field they got involved with.
Yeah that opening scene is a complete homage to episode 4
I don't love this show yet. But ... I do love the way fans have responded, and I do love sharing in this show week to week. It's great to have some real positivity around SW again.

It's fantastic.
All that’s missing is some 80s style orange juice commercials
Got a feeling SM-33 killed the crew, wiped At Attin from his memory and then powered off the ship. Don’t have a theory why yet, just feel he’s important.
If droids run the planet, maybe he got hacked?
The ship was upside down since it crashed into the planet.
He repeatedly said “I can’t say I remember nothin’ about At Attin” - like he really can’t, because he was ordered not to say anything.
I heared that one of autors confirmed that this "old republic" were not ment like Kotor, or Revan era ... more like republic "before Palpatine".
If this was how they brought in the actual "Old Republic" that would have been very awesome.
The guy is not force sensitive. He's literally tricking kids like a party magician. He wants to use them to get to the treasure planet.
Fern makes a fibbing joke about the proctor punishing people by putting them to work in the minds. I would wager that particular detail loops up and back around to the story

Should put a trigger warning on this episode for saying “exegol”, I had a seizure and blood came out of my ears 😂
it really shoulda just been a movie released on christmas
Kh'ymm is already a favorite of mine.
I want Star Wars to thrive in the future. Star Wars content has been like a rollercoaster over the past few years. There have been a few winners; however, there have been losers. Hey Thor, do you think this is their way of bring geto into cannon? He was a droid that wanted the exile to preserve the republic
9:40 this commercial played up until the late 2000s, maybe even after. I'm sure anyone here is old enough as not many young people like star wars
I think Force is sort of a very mystical concept. Sure, it's also a fun power to have that makes for amazing storytelling but it does require a special sensibility for a creator to nail it down. I think he has the force but is just bad at using the force
Hey Thor and Naboo. What would be a giggle is if this ended up being either the Empress Teta system of something on the outskirts of the Hapes Consortium.
There are more of republic credits than there are evil in the galaxy.
Kh'ymm was super cute but let's not forget how the kids NEARLY KILLED 2 OFFICERS DOING THEIR JOB!
What if the supervisor is Hux?! 😮😂
wait, KB is a augmented/ cyborg? I thought she was just wearing her visor thingy... as in, she can take it off. Ya know, to shower, sleep, etc
#SkeletonCrewRad I dare say SM-33 is cooler than HK-47. Totally not a bad thing that fun is being used to describe the show.
how was the dead pirate stuck to the wall with a knife on a ship that had been upside down for decades
So is At Attin a Fallout Vault?
Switzerland in space

Wh'y do'es ev'ery fant'asy char'act'er na'me ha've ap'ostra'phes?
Rubbish, KB has overprotective Parents.

That's pretty much where I am as well. I will say the show is improving so we'll see how things develop over the rest of its run.
Yeah, but Jedi and Seth are the best parts of Star Wars so that argument is stupid. I am enjoying scallop and crew though and I do think it’s pretty fun so far.
Thor, I think the show’s decent but I don’t think it’s as good as others are making out to be. It’s alright. 7/10
