@@CherryandTrevor Wow nice! I've never seen Iceland but I have seen the Fox Glacier and others over New Zealand.
I chartered a helicopter from Glentanner Airport and a group of us flew over the Franz Josef Glacier, the Fox Glacier and also Mount Cook which was incredible. We landed on or some where near the Nuns Veil. An amazing view from an amazing country.
I would definitely like to return again.

@@theothistledon6935 Iceland is incredible you will enjoy it.
That's awesome we also want to explore New Zealand! Must have been a really epic helicopter ride over the glaciers!!!

@@CherryandTrevor Yes I want to go to Iceland. I love travelling its so much fun. (dont miss out on carbs it will affect how you feel) Yeah Iceland looks amazing.
Yes the chopper ride was amazing but expensive because I screwed up. I didn't get enough cash which meant i exchanged at a terrible rate. Still I thought stuff it I'm going ! It cost me three hundred Australia dollars back then still I never regretted spending it despite the crappy rate.
Looking out the window heading towards Mount Cook was epic. The chopper pilot was a top gun pilot and very arrogant and cocky. As the ground fell away from the chopper he pulled back a lever quite quickly and as he did that he pushed down on one of the peddles which spun us around 180° degrees at about 25 ° degrees. Which meant initially the Bell Jet Ranger was flying backwards until he brought it around and we were flying ahead pitched slightly forward.
Then the valley below looked amazing and vast we were essentially flying through a valley.
Great snow capped mountains on either side as we floated forward and upward towards Mount Cook the sky was a beautiful blue and clear.
As we gain altitude we could see The tops of mountains covered in snow.
      It was exhilarating !
The beauty is hard to describe.
Ranges of brilliant snow capped mountains.
The snow was bright and pure.
The glaciers enormous with crevices 500 feet deep.
Clear then gradually a turquoise blue as one would look deeper into these ridges of hard cold turquoise ridges.
Very breathtaking because its kinda scarey how small you feel and how huge these glaciers are.
As we headed for a place that they land the bright blinding snow came up at us as the chopper gently landed.
We all hopped out as the blades of the chopper cut the frozen air.
The snow was a few inches deep and so clean, pure abd squeaky.
As a trod through the snow I left tracks and as I gazed at the what seemed endless snow capped mountains I felt excited by the fact that we were on the top of this enormous mountain. The view was breathtakingly marvelous.
A few minutes staring at the surrounding mountain then everybody headed back to the helicopter.
As I buckled myself into the front seat the engine throttled and gradually the helicopter pulled away from the bright white snow.
We at that point headed back to where we came from.
Via another route which flew us over the Fox Glacier and then finally back to base.
The chopper arrived back at Glentanner airbase.
      We hopped out.
      Wow! What a trip.🤩👍

@@theothistledon6935 Wow! Sounds like an adventure of a lifetime!! The pilot would piss me off pulling those maneuvers, I always hear about helicopters crashing.

Oh, your not eating enough complex carbs. I noticed on your plate. Cut the meat in half and triple the amount of pasta.
    Meats expensive.
Pasta is cheap and its mainly what you need to fill you muscles and liver with glycogen. Also you need much more vitamins and minerals. Oh, you need to eat breakfast otherwise you'll be totally rooted especially walking up those mountains. Ramp up the CHO and reduce the meat.
Meat and fat are high density. The problem is you need slow release carbohydrate which fills your muscles and liver with glycogen. Glycogen is what your muscles are using to power your walks. Your running out of steam. Eat rolled oats for breakfast.
    1 cup oats uncooked
    Sunflower seeds 1 tablespoon
    Pumpkin seeds 1 tablespoon
    Fresh blueberries half punnet each
    Fresh rasberries half punnet each
Or fresh strawberries 6~7 depending on size.
    Or bannana chopped on both.
    1200 calories or more.
Almond milk. 10% almonds no added shit preferably.

    • @CherryandTrevor
      @CherryandTrevor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Oh we had more pasta lol we love our carbs! That lamb is one of Iceland's specialty meat so we had to try it out!
Oh a lot of mornings we would have oatmeal, spirulina, Icelandic yoghurt and a banana!
Whoa Theo you must be a nutritionist!?

    • @theothistledon6935
      @theothistledon6935 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@CherryandTrevor No I'm not a nutritionist but I have read parts of U.S Navy Seals Nutrition Guide.
      65% CHO
      25% Protein
      10% Fat
Preferably eat monosaturated fat or poly unsaturated fat and less saturated fat.
Fats important in your diet but try to avoid saturated fat.
Also you must drink enough water with real fruit juice. 50/50 rain water and o.j or apple juice.
Also try to avoid caffeine which is coffee or coke cola. Those substances block the absorption of vitamins and minerals.
      Avoid:
      Caffeine
      Alcohol 😆😂
      Tobacco
      Stress
      Antibiotics
      Aspros
      NSAIDs
Just remember vitamins and minerals are essential and should never be avoided.
Don't skip breakfast because what you gain in time you lose on the walk up the mountain.
Also you'll feel hungry and it will take away the pleasure of your trip.
      Don't forget the cho.👍
      Eat heaps of carbs.
Fruit is good for quick boost.
Also snack bars full of seeds and almonds etc are good.
