Insane ride in Pangi Kishtwar | Indian Himalaya road | Kilar to Gulabgarh

Travelling along the Chenab River and after the Kilar - Dharwas in Pangi valley you enter in remote Kishtwar region. This dangerous stretch of road which remain max of 15 minutes drive, its short after Ishtiyari village upto Balwas. There are few villages in this area and how these people live in this part of world taking this road often. There has been a numbers of accident crossing this stretch. Local women cover themselves with shawls inside vehicle while crossing this part. For a short period of time there was a posting of Police to assist passengers to walk. Today new road is under construction above this vertical cliffs, which is more safer for local people. Especially young ones has to take this road often as they go to higher education at Atholi/Gulab garh/ Kishtwar or Jammu.
Soon after crossing the border of Himachal the roads are in such a bad conditions that you feel like driving on a mule track. When Rohtang remain closed people of Pangi and Lahaul valley take this road during winter. Govt of Himachal need to build quality 2 lane road in Pangi and Govt of JK need to build better road between Sohal and Sansari Nallah.
