I also got married on April 26, but in 1975. It was also my husbands 19th birthday. We were young and in love. Tragically, in 1981, he was killed in a double fatality accident while driving on his job.. Our daughter was 2 1/2 years old, and we had been married for just 6 1/2 years. It certainly has been like riding a roller coaster. Even though I was fairly mature, raising a child on my own as a single parent was never in the picture.. 48 years year later I have my daughter and her husband (married for 20 years, known each other for 27 years) my beautiful twin b/g grandchildren (graduating in May, yikes) living within 10 minutes of me. Im happily married to my husband for 38 yrs now and we have 2 amazing girls, 1 birth child and 1 adopted...We live very fun filled, drama filled exciting lives but ....our wedding , like your weekend was memorable . I too teach, so we got married sept 1, went on a partial honeymoon and i was back in class teaching my spec ed kids on the 8th of sept . BUT...we had our receotion at Windows On the World which was the top of the world trade center. The devastation we felt for the world that day... we have our memories in photos and our kids etc will always be able to see the past and see ahead to the future..
