That Arkham game was a ten out of ten but that joker boss was one of the worst ideas in gaming. Who thought that was a good idea? A fist fight with regular joker would have been cool.
What the hell. You talk about bad ideas and you want a fist fight with joker. Anyone who even knows the first thing about batman comics and media knows joker isn't much of a fighting guy. He can easily get his ass beat by batman in a regular fight. That's why he always has something to back him up. This literally happens it city, joker knew batman would beat him up, so he has a fake joker there who he also know would get beat up, but has titan and thugs help to weaken him, knowing that the final touch to defeating him would be exploding the building.
What an awful boss. They wanted a cinematic ending, you can make it cinematic and challenging, it was an absolute joke. Even calamity Ganon was harder.
Or change it so the buff you get to face Yu Yevon *isn't* infinite Auto-Life. It's made that way so that your Aeons can't one-shot you when you fight them, but maybe what they could have done was give your party a special buff corresponding to your Aeon's strength level? Like your team is getting supercharged so they can finally fight on equal terms with them, proving that the Aeons are no longer needed to protect Spira?
Vaas wasn’t supposed to be in the game in the first place, that’s why he wasn’t the last boss. Ubisoft was just amazed of the performance of the actor that played vaas that they decided to put him on the game
I disagree with the human Reaper, they were going to leave Humanity alone until Shepard got involved so to make a Reaper more human showed they saw Humans as a threat. But that's just my opinion.
Good to know I wasn’t the only one who was somewhat underwhelmed by the Alduin fight in Skyrim the dlcs had way better boss fights Miraak, Harkon, Forge Master, Karstaag hell even the Mercer Frey boss fight in the thieves guild quest was cooler
20. If you're between him and a window when he uses his hurricane punch, you'll get knocked out the window and die instantly! His death isn't even satisfying, you don't even get to see him suffer! Get this, apparently Suda51 INTENTIONALLY made this boss unsatisfying because it was to be symbolic of the fact that revenge is never satisfying. I can appreciate the gesture, BUT THIS IS NOT HOW IT SHOULD BE EXECUTED! It's one thing to accidentally make a bad boss fight, it's another thing entirely to make a bad boss fight ON PURPOSE and say that it's something profound. Fortunately, No More Heroes 3 did not follow this bad example with IT'S final boss. 19. The jetpack had really touchy controls, appeared in only 2 levels in the final room, and those levels were more designed with slow and careful navigation in mind, not speeding through them. Making matters worse is the fact that Cortex escaping is LITERALLY THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN LOSE A LIFE! The meteors and mines do nothing but slow you down. He even had a laser pistol in the original version but never uses it. The worst part is that if Cortex gets too far ahead, he will LITERALLY STOP AND WAIT FOR YOU TO GET CLOSER BEFORE FLYING AWAY AGAIN! How ironic for a game called "Cortex STRIKES BACK," he doesn't do any striking back. And this fight is just as bad in the N-Sane remake, the only difference is that he's carrying a crystal instead of a laser gun. [Sarcastic] So I guess there's a reason to why he doesn't attack you this time, clearly the thing that needed changing the most. 13. The final showdown also encapsulates all of the worst parts of the Uncharted shootouts. Enemies take forever to kill without headshots, have STUPIDLY overpowered weapons, can aim and shoot at your EXACT LOCATION even behind cover as if they have both lock-on AND x-ray vision, they NEVER USE MELEE ATTACKS (because OBVIOUSLY they're too stupid to swing their guns like in many FPS games), and there's an endless amount of them. Making matters worse is that most of your cover in this battle is easily destructable. When you finally get to Navarro, he follows a very strict attack pattern, scoping the scene and his rifle will kill you instantly if you get shot. Just rush him when his guard is down, complete the QTE and the fight is over. Definitely doesn't help the fact that Navarro is easily the most bland, boring and unremarkable villain in the entire series, so much so that his page on the Uncharted Wiki LITERALLY DOESN'T HAVE A PERSONALITY SECTION! 11. WHAT. WERE. THEY. THINKING?!!! - The Angry Video Game Nerd In what anti-matter universe could this possibly be considered ok?! Having the boss just stand perfectly still, never attack you, and die after ONE HIT! Just one! And it's also IMPOSSIBLE TO LOSE! As you can LITERALLY put the controller down as Lucien will just stand there monologing and never attack you and Reaver will shoot him. There are so many ways this could've worked! Maybe have what just happened be the start to a joke phase before kicking off an ACTUAL BATTLE, and then have the one shot be reserved for a FINISHING MOVE, kinda like what The Boss from MGS3 did! It just makes me wonder how many lobotomies were handed out that day. Oh? You wanna talk about bad boss designs? The final battle of Bioshock, Skyrim, AND Borderlands did a better job with it's final bosses. Because THEY at least require you to fight the boss and they fight back. I'm not saying that those bosses were good, I'm just saying that giving you an ACTUAL FIGHT where the boss can fight back and you can actually lose is SUCH THE MOST BASIC OF BASICS FOR BOSS REQUIREMENTS THAT EVEN THE WORST BOSS FIGHTS USUALLY GET IT RIGHT! In fact, remember what I said regarding Bastard Twat Jr.? [Rewinds] It's one thing to accidentally make a bad boss fight, it's another thing entirely to make a bad boss fight ON PURPOSE and say that it's something profound. Yeah, I stand by that statement here too. At least the final boss of Fable 3 made up for that... somewhat. Here's hoping the upcoming reboot DOESN'T follow this example for it's final boss. 7. Although, when you really think about it, this may have actually benefited the series from that point on. Gearbox did learn from this, as the subsequent final bosses in the later games kicked ass and The Destroyer got more story relevance in later games, I mean just look at what Handsome Jack did to the Destroyer's remains in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. 2. And the real sad part is that WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE CONTROL OF THE PLAYER during our encounter with Ryan! 1. Joker follows a very strict attack pattern that he NEVER deviates from. He'll do 3 double swipe attacks, retreat to the background, send in some goons, turn his back to face the press, leave himself vulnerable to your ultra-batclaw, rinse and repeat. What I said about The Destroyer could also apply to this as this also kicked off an ongoing story in Arkham City and Arkham Knight. And Arkham City's final boss made up for this.
The Amalgam from the first Evil Within is another fairly notorious one. You watch the villain twist into this horrific final form and are thinking "damn, I'm sure glad I conserved all my heavy ammo Resi-style if I've gotta go up against this thing", and then one glorified QTE later it's all over and the credits are rolling
Also, with Yu Yevon, you can easily beat him by casting Doom on him. I beat him using a Candle of Life and when that happened, I was like, "That's it?" So... Strike 3?
I for one was glad that the Black Hand was easy to defeat. The Black Hand Made me so nervous, I didn't think I'd ever have a chance of beating him. Thankfully, I did, and it was a huge relief. It was just like when I battled Darth Vader in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Dishonorable Mentions: *Wily Capsule - Mega Man 7 -Wily's attack pattern is simple. He'll shoot out 4 elemental balls that'll home in on your location, stop, then move towards your location again before flying off-screen. Then, he'll fire off an electric attack that crawls across the floor. The problem is that the window of opportunity to dodge the homing shots is painfully small! The fireballs cause burn damage over time, the ice balls freeze you, and the electric balls do a ton of damage. It's not helped by the fact that his weakness is Spring Man's weapon, the Wild Coil, the worst weapon in the game. And that's when he's low enough for a charged coil because they can't bounce high enough when he's too high. OH WAIT, you CAN make the wild coil hit Wily when he's up high! You just have to press up on the controller when using the coil. The game never even tells you this detail! HOW THE HELL WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT?! HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO FIGURE THAT OUT?! And even still, the wild coil does SO LITTLE DAMAGE TO IT! Is it any wonder why Mega Man wanted to end Wily right there on the spot? I can't blame him. *Dark Beast Ganon - The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild -The battle against Calamity Ganon in Hyrule Castle isn't too bad, it's the second phase that's the problem. This battle is pathetically easy. All he does is fire off massive "F you" lasers that are embarrassingly easy to avoid and there's no timer to put you in peril.
I think Sonic Frontiers's original final boss could've used a spot here. Supreme felt straight up unfinished, and The End essentially being an arcade game isn't a very good payoff to all the glorious cinematics present in all the other boss fights.
I did that too once against human reaper very easy for me as for Seth from Street Fighter 4 don’t get me started on him it had taken me three times or four times to defeat him which I finally gotten a Win
What about Kimkoh from Super C? All you got to do is shoot Diagonally to hit him and shoot his projectiles upward and he cannot hit you with his beam attack. It's so easy you can beat him with a peashooter.
OMG, Seth from Street Fighter IV is an extremely difficult as hell final boss as he's extremely frustrating to beat. I always have a hard time beating him as it takes countless times to beat him. That's one of the flaws Street Fighter IV has. I cannot stand that final boss, so I'm not surprised that he's in the list of worst final bosses in video games.
Dark Lord from Doom Eternal is just a modified Marauder, it's both uninspired and easy. Lords of the Fallen (2023) is a great game but one of the possible final bosses, Adyr, is just a "Deacons of the deep" kind of fight.
Zurvan in Prince of Persia: Two Thrones. A repetitive formula of lather, rinse, repeat; this boss fight is a boring repetition of hacking, platforming, QTE. To make matters worse, there is no alternative ending if you get all the health upgrades like in the previous game, Warrior Within, so all you are left with is a dull looking boss in a dull boss fight and it's a disappointing end to a great trilogy.
I'll regret saying it bc she's my favorite final boss character in a rpg but I'm gonna say anyway: Idunn from Fire Emblem 6. The game is great and her story makes me feel pitty for her but i wish Idunn was a bit more difficult to defeat.
Atlas is not a bad final boss in Bioshock, notice how he becomes a giant that is holding up this giant sphere at the top of Rapture. in mythology Atlas is the Titan that holds the weight of heaven on his shoulders as a punishment by Zeus...everything in Bioshock is symbolic of mythology and gods...many parts of Rapture are named after Gods or other great things... every time i see watch mojo i realise that just like Rotten Tomatos he knows fu%$ all what he is talking about when it comes to real gaming and great style in video game design.
Wouldn't say it's a bad final boss and I love the game, but I always found Dino Crisis and its final boss to be underwhelming. Luckily, there's three endings so that switches it up. I like the one where Regina is shooting from the getaway boat most. It was the T-rex you already fought a few times with no additional challenges. In fact, I find the final fight to be the easiest. Love the game, still a banger, just think the final fights are pretty easy. Not a bad final boss, but just easy.
Other games have overcome this problem. You must find a way. You may ask how am I supposed to do this crazy and very hard thing to get into my dream college. Other kids have managed to, you need to find a way or you have no luck.
@ShadowsegaExaid I k he takes your weapons but there are weapons in the arena when you fight him and healing items too plus the werid thing is that he has a UZI Aka the sub Machine gun from DR1 how he does have 1 when we Don't have 1 or it's not the game or the map of fortune city I k you can get in the game by mods also when your outside of the area to grab more items he uses fireworks to kill us which is annoying I killed him in overtime now when I do DR2 I Always do the true ending Aka Ending A by not Giving TK any Zombrex which is the true ending because it leads to case west to DR3

The End Sonic Frontiers the base game version, it's just the hack mini game in boss fight form. The third update version of The End is much more climatic and satisfying.
Palpatine in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed; despite being the final boss, he's one of the easiest bosses in the game. He has two attacks: Force Lightning and throwing canisters and he frequently hides behind a lightning-shield and calls in his Royal Guards to fight for him. Absolutely disgraceful for a final boss. Hell, the fight with him in Super Return of the Jedi was more challenging and there was even less to work with back then.
I'm gonna say it--Kefka. Final Fantasy 6 is my favorite game, and Kefka is a fantastic villain, but you fight him for like two minutes at the end. What extremely little exists of the fight is good, but it's over FAR too quickly. There's a character build you can make for Locke that will end the fight in a single turn. The feeling of anticlimax, after such a fantastic buildup and unmatched setting, is hard to get over
Technically all of Dancing Mad counts as fighting him, which is a great operatic fight. Phase 4 dies fast because your have access to so many ways to hit for 9999+ damage at the end, but it's fitting since he can hit you so hard too with Hyperdrive, Havoc Wing and Fallen One. It also would be frustrating if he were significantly harder than previous phases.
The ganon fight from the legend of zelda i mean that dungeon is 10 times harder than the boss and you cant even seem him infact most of the bosses in that game are way too weak

I beat him by having Yuna cast Holy and he went down quick as I have Auron perform Zombie Attack it's a good thing I went with the Expert Sphere Grid.

Lucien isn't a boss in the game, he is the antagonist, the last boss of the game is the magic pyramid that summons enemies

OMG, Seth from Street Fighter IV is an extremely difficult as hell final boss as he's extremely frustrating to beat. I always have a hard time beating him as it takes countless times to beat him. That's one of the flaws Street Fighter IV has. I cannot stand that final boss, so I'm not surprised that he's in the list of worst final bosses in video games.
I thought the Human Reaper was a good boss fight. It made perfect sense with how the story played out
Dark Lord from Doom Eternal is just a modified Marauder, it's both uninspired and easy.
Lords of the Fallen (2023) is a great game but one of the possible final bosses, Adyr, is just a "Deacons of the deep" kind of fight.
Joker deserves to be on the list

A repetitive formula of lather, rinse, repeat; this boss fight is a boring repetition of hacking, platforming, QTE. To make matters worse, there is no alternative ending if you get all the health upgrades like in the previous game, Warrior Within, so all you are left with is a dull looking boss in a dull boss fight and it's a disappointing end to a great trilogy.

I'll regret saying it bc she's my favorite final boss character in a rpg but I'm gonna say anyway: Idunn from Fire Emblem 6. The game is great and her story makes me feel pitty for her but i wish Idunn was a bit more difficult to defeat.
Atlas is not a bad final boss in Bioshock, notice how he becomes a giant that is holding up this giant sphere at the top of Rapture. in mythology Atlas is the Titan that holds the weight of heaven on his shoulders as a punishment by Zeus...everything in Bioshock is symbolic of mythology and gods...many parts of Rapture are named after Gods or other great things...

Wouldn't say it's a bad final boss and I love the game, but I always found Dino Crisis and its final boss to be underwhelming. Luckily, there's three endings so that switches it up. I like the one where Regina is shooting from the getaway boat most. It was the T-rex you already fought a few times with no additional challenges. In fact, I find the final fight to be the easiest. Love the game, still a banger, just think the final fights are pretty easy. Not a bad final boss, but just easy.
The real problem with a lot of theses bosses is how “how do you make them tougher then the rest of the rank and file enemies”
Other games have overcome this problem. You must find a way. You may ask how am I supposed to do this crazy and very hard thing to get into my dream college. Other kids have managed to, you need to find a way or you have no luck.

I agree that final boss was total bullshit same with TK as you have to fight him unarmed too I beat TK's ass by having Chuck Greene in his Underwear.
@ShadowsegaExaid I k he takes your weapons but there are weapons in the arena when you fight him and healing items too plus the werid thing is that he has a UZI Aka the sub Machine gun from DR1 how he does have 1 when we Don't have 1 or it's not the game or the map of fortune city I k you can get in the game by mods also when your outside of the area to grab more items he uses fireworks to kill us which is annoying I killed him in overtime now when I do DR2 I Always do the true ending Aka Ending A by not Giving TK any Zombrex which is the true ending because it leads to case west to DR3

The End Sonic Frontiers the base game version, it's just the hack mini game in boss fight form. The third update version of The End is much more climatic and satisfying.
Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine, epic and awesome all the way until you reach the final boss and it is a quick time event

Funny thing about watching this video is that I just finished beating the joker in Arkham Asylum.
Palpatine in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed; despite being the final boss, he's one of the easiest bosses in the game. He has two attacks: Force Lightning and throwing canisters and he frequently hides behind a lightning-shield and calls in his Royal Guards to fight for him. Absolutely disgraceful for a final boss. Hell, the fight with him in Super Return of the Jedi was more challenging and there was even less to work with back then.

I'm gonna say it--Kefka. Final Fantasy 6 is my favorite game, and Kefka is a fantastic villain, but you fight him for like two minutes at the end. What extremely little exists of the fight is good, but it's over FAR too quickly. There's a character build you can make for Locke that will end the fight in a single turn. The feeling of anticlimax, after such a fantastic buildup and unmatched setting, is hard to get over

Technically all of Dancing Mad counts as fighting him, which is a great operatic fight. Phase 4 dies fast because your have access to so many ways to hit for 9999+ damage at the end, but it's fitting since he can hit you so hard too with Hyperdrive, Havoc Wing and Fallen One. It also would be frustrating if he were significantly harder than previous phases.

Mehhhh, King Allant is more of an interactive conclusion to the game than a boss fight. Old King Allant will always be the true final boss.
Some of these I feel, that they ran out of budget and made the cheapest quickest way to end the game. ( Just a thought) 🤔🤷

The ganon fight from the legend of zelda i mean that dungeon is 10 times harder than the boss and you cant even seem him infact most of the bosses in that game are way too weak
