I've been playing Eldar since 3rd edit 40k. I found OPR last year but this year have decided to make the move. I have since 9th been running a wraith heavy army with 15 wraith guard/blades(magnetized) 2 wraith lords, 3 wraith seers, and 1 wraith knight. I am blessed that OPR has High elves wraith units seem fairly tough.
@@NexusWargaming I have been just getting into OPR and wargaming. I have been putting together some 1000 pt lists of various factions for me/family to try out, and just on paper the other factions seem to have more cohesiveness and pizzazz, even if they are relatively similarly built (eg 2 characters, 1 chaff, 1 elite, 1 walker-type)
FYI for Scorchers, at least Army Forge wise, you can first replace one Flamer for the Pike and then replace all Flamers for Fusion Rifles. Dunno if that's RAI, but that seems to work!
I've heard a lot of good solutions of how to solve the pistol and hybrid tax. This series is just about discussing the armies in the current rule set. The best thing I think we can do right now is set the pistols to "Limited". Or provide some sort of hybrid discount in points. But I'm open to suggestions!

Also in your army rebuild please add wraith cannon to wraith lord options
Will do!
Yea the Wraith options are solid. I prefer aspect warriors which aren’t as good.
Got my buddies case filled with Eldar minis, looking forward to use these tactics to see how to deploy them best!
Thank you! I hope it helps you with the army :)
+1 for the Duelyst music. May that game forever live on!
I love that game too. And all the music is open license 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to share this, very informative! I like your ideas for change, and look forward to what you put together!
Thank you! High Elf Fleets are dear to my heart.

Really interesting, I haven't really heard such an in-depth analysis of GDF before!
Thank you! I hope more people start doing similar analysis. It's a great game!

If it is intended, it is confusing. Also are you paying extra points to do that? Shouldn't it cost less if you upgrade from a fusion rifle?
@@NexusWargaming I think it is intended, it ends up going from 130 points for a normal squad to 160 for all fusion squad
This is intended behaviour yeah
Looking forward to when you get to Orks in this series!
Will try to get to them!
Does the new assault action help at all?
I’ve tried it one game. It’s ok, but I can’t it fixes the issue with the hybrid tax
You should review the new content and the armies they come with
I’m doing HDF next 🙂
I think pistols being able to be fired in melee (maybe with minus to hit or only hitting on 6’s) would make them a lot less horrible.

You can def have fusion pikes with fusion rifles. It’s just bad code on the website. Buy a fusion pike first then buy the fusion rifles.
I just think it’s unclear. Why don’t they just have fusion fins base. Also I’m not sure if you overspend doing that.
