  • Today I take a look inside the INLIFE AM FM Pocket Radio. I will see what parts make up this radio as well as the build quality and soldering in this radio.

Great explanation and brake down of the radio. The sensitivity specs for both AM and FM were pretty good. The ferrite rod is probably the heaviest part of the radio - lol

Thank you. I’m glad you liked it. I think the speaker and the antenna are the heaviest parts. 👍❤️👏🏻

I have a very cheap monitor and it has a tinny little speaker in the back, so I don`t have good audio at my end, but the music you played blew me out of the chair, it was vary loud, while your voice audio was low. Very interesting look inside, in any case. Thanks.

Sorry about the audio levels. I have been fighting with my screen capture software and audio levels. Glad you found the video interesting. Thanks for watching. 👍

Very cool. I like the size of the ferrite in it.
I was hunting for a review on another radio and stumbled upon a portable Short Wave radio of this same brand . The gentleman was in South America somewhere I believe.
It looked like a pretty fancy radio.
    Thanks

This is the first time I have seen the Inlife brand on Amazon. It not bad for the money and it’s easy to use. Thanks for watching. 👍

I was wrong. The radio was a “Livstar” ( Multiband radio). And it comes up when you type in:
“The only FM station that can be copied at my Jungle QTH.
      ( it’s an interesting radio.
      📻🙂

Hi, thanks for this. I have a similar pocket radio and I am looking to turn off manual tuning to cause the radio to constantly tune through stations. Is there a way of doing this? For reference, I have an Indin BC-R60 pocket watch AM-FM radio receiver. Pleas let me know what you think.

I’m sorry but I’m not familiar with that radio and I don’t know of a way to keep it scanning without stopping. Thanks for stopping by. 👍

@@TheRadiogeek ah okay, thank you for responding. Any recommendations for a different radio to try?

Very interesting to see and the 411 on the XTAL...I would pull it and experiment! :) ~Jack, VEG

I think if the crystal was removed the radio wouldn’t do anything. I think both the LCD drive and receiver chip need a clock signal to operate. Thanks for watching.👍❤️📻

And that's why I would remove it and plug in a signal generator...see if the radio does get those wide ranges of freq's. :) ~Jack, VEG

They put the AM coil right on top of the metal speaker frame. Bad idea.

It does seem to work fine on the AM band but a different place for the antenna would have been better.👍
