The best way I have found for dealing with Ravager is to fight him underwater. It significantly slows him down and you can just use a flipper potion to out maneuver him.
Watching you do this is so amazing, because about 2 weeks ago I started my run, and am currently just taking a break at Providence since it just feels absolutely impossible (even with the class setup wiki page.) It's nice to see that some of your bossfights went through the same strategies mine have.
As someone that did empress on daytime as soon as i found out that she had a rare drop if done during daytime i can relate to your "i do know this boss pretty well" took me like 20 or 30 tries, used solar armor and a daybreak in mastermode vanilla. Tried her yesterday after over a year and it only took me a couple of fights to get uswed to her attacks again (not enough to re-do her during daytime yet)
The issue with playing death mode on master mode is that it’s clearly not designed for it, every boss in hardmode has atleast 100k health and 2 shots you and also is a lot faster than you, I was playing through it on rogue because I thought it would be a fun challenge. It was not

I just beat Master+Death with a friend and now I can officially say that Calamity is only fun up until Providence and Polterghast. I was not having an ounce of joy during the Exo Mechs and DoG fights.
I actually just finished this challenge myself, and let me tell you I was stuck on yharon and scal each for multiple days. Prob didn’t help that it was my first modded run ever lol. Anyways, good luck on the run!
I find that this mode is not difficult until the final 4 bosses Not a singe boss pre-DoG took over 6 attempts, but each of the final 4 (DoG, Yharon, Scal, exo), took me over 2 and a half hours to beat each, all taking over 50 attempts. I think his main issue was lack of mobility, was moon lord is an easy first attempt boss with its mechanics not being too different.
For a future modded series you should use Boss Checklist (to check what boss is next) and Fargo's Mutant (to help with farming, and no, it's not the Fargo's Souls mod). For a future let's play maybe do Thorium, Mod of Redemption, Spirit, etc... basically something to relax the pain before going back at it.
I was doing Master FtW Death mode and got all the way up to Golem because I had no chance against bosses where I would play at 10 fps. The only viable way for almost every boss is to maximize all the mobility you can possibly get which forces you to have low damage let alone the bosses having much more health from FtW. I would really like to see someone like you attempt this difficulty because this is the hardest difficulty playthrough of calamity mod that I've seen on youtube. Also if you are gonna accept this challenge then pick corruption as world evil because of BoC moving at Storm Weaver dash speed with instant acceleration in any direction.
NGL I'm watching it in awe. When I tried it I couldn't defeat skeleton, queen bee, or WoF. I was well prepared, so after being absolutelly dogged by WoF I got salty and deleted the world along with the character lmao
Hey, Let's Go! I also did a Melee Master Death Mode run and JESUS! The Post-Moon Lord pain it can't be described, like for each boss you need this specific accessories and specific arenas to beat them, because if you don't you're gonna die A LOT. I even had to use the Fearmonger armor for the last 2 bosses because even tho it's technically a summoner armor, it gives insane life regeneration and paired with other life and defensive accessories I was actually able to actually survive and beat the last 2 bosses. Also Zenith it's the best melee weapon for Exo Mecs, don't @ me.

I just beat this challenge with a friend and now I have the full ability to say that Calamity is overrated and immediately stops being fun when you kill Providence and can fight the Sentinels and DoG. There was NO joy after we killed Providence, it just got increasingly worse with each boss. Exo Mechs are now my most hated boss across everything Terraria. I would rather fight those meme bosses with infinite with nothing but a phoenix blaster than face them again.
The funny thing is, master mode is not really too much of a challenge but death is extremely difficult but master feels far more difficult when death is added
To think that i got so used to suffering from this game, everywhere i go there's a huge line of grave across the world and i'm like "welp this is normal"
cj deathbot i would like to see a challenge where you use chain maces like the ball o' hurt ,flairon and it is possible there are a couple chain maces through out the entire playthrough from the beginning of pre hardmode till the beginning of hardmode and end
you should try infernum master mode next, i started infernum for the worthy master mode and its been about 3 weeks and i havnt beaten moonlord yet, its honestly the most difficult thing i've done in any game

Hey, just a tip for you in early hardmode, USE THE CELESTIAL CLAYMORE. I cannot tell you how much it carried me through calamitas and cryogen (I was in master mode death mode as well.)
how do you reach calamitas clone with it? afaik celestial claymore is true melee. Also does it work for Plantera too because i'm having a lot of trouble with her(using Daedalus Armor + Ark of the Ancients, i can barely make it through phase 1 and then i get destroyed by Phase 2(when it reaches 50% hp it's Phase 2) Also did you mean Celestial Claymore or Catastrophe Claymore?
Calamity bosses are most likely harder because you are going up against a boss where you have no idea what they do where the vanilla bosses you fought them so much that you know them by heart. But then again it’s calamity

On a thorium playthrough (will eventually touch calamity after) currently and was really struggling against a boss til i just ran left and right and it worked and i never died afterwards. Forgot what boss it was but yeah lol
My first time playing calamity me and my friend played death and master, he had only played reveangence expert and from what I remember, plaguebringer, providence, and exo mechs gave us the most trouble, exo mechs took about a week of us playing for an hour or two a day it was so difficult, but it was a blast
I spent damn near a month on Master Death Plantera, let alone Moon Lord, which I still havent defeated. I am currently doing infernum instead because i actually cannot be bothered with master death lmao

Yes, Master/Death mode is completely unbalanced. It was playtested by one guy. Fighting brain of Cthulhu with on tier loot is completely ridiculous. Brain of Cthulu basically just phases through you, some attacks can be dodged but a good percentage just does one shot dmg and theres not avoiding it. Skeletron prime was ruined as well. They just added stuff for the sake of being basically unwinnable to make it "hard".
