Good video!.. Dude, I don't have any of that on my warrior. I have to do a video of my bike so you can see what's what modifications were done that I noticed. Like I said in another comment, I bought a 08 midnite warrior under 10,000 miles in New condition. It was a 1 owner bike and the guy made all these modifications I wasn't told about. I got it from a place where the guy who owned it traded it in with cash for a Harley. I also never found that bulb I asked you about; however, the bulb I got from J&P Cycles I lined up the lead contacts on the bottom then filed off one of the prongs on the side. The J&P Cycles bulb came with 2 prongs as the one already in the bike had 3 off set prongs. The J&P Cycles bulb now has one prong(after filing off the other) and I changed the position the way I seated the bulb twice and low and behold it worked!!
I see an Air Mod... Patrick, Churchkey, or Barons? I did the Barons as it came with an easy plate with the coil relocate. I know others have it also but... it was nice without extreme measures. Relocated my fuel line under the tank and seat. Completely tucked. Shaved the bracket off and cleaned all the plastic on both sides.
I went with the churchkey myself. I plan on either going with the akitadog replicate plate for the coils, or possibly try to fab something up for the left side in place of the AIS, FPR, etc and doing dyna coils. They look good out on that left side if you've ever seen that done. Need to shave down my left side mount myself, or get the kylenv mount. Haven't really seen one installed though, so would need to do a little research on them.
Hy Bryan, not too much mention these days regarding Warriors:(. I still own my 2002 purchased new and she has been great. I was planning on eliminating the air box and install the Churkey system. It looks like it’s no longer available. Am I right? Any suggestions? Thanks brother!
Hey Brian, I’m in the middle of this project, great videos by the way. The part of the FPR that you leave pointing up, what connects on to that end? Is it just a vent? Thanks!
Yes sir. Caught me at a good time, usually I take a while to answer. Just a vent, leave it open and you're good to go. Thanks for watching and commenting. Hope the video has helped!
Hey bud, where about did you move to? I'm just south in Nixa myself and there are a few other Warrior riders in the area as well. Send me an email and let's get a look at this project bike you've gotten. Reach me at Bjmcmeekin1@gmail.com
Thanks for subscribing, and thanks for the compliment! I'm glad the video was able to hit the mark. I hope I have more that can do the same, or come out with some in the future that can. Thanks again!
So I followed your instructions here and everything is working perfectly and looks good. My only concern is it seems to be rubbing on my throttle. Did I miss something on how the fuel line is ran?
Send me an email and I'll send you a picture of mine. I believe you're probably talking about the bottom portion down by the injectors. I used a metal zip tie to hold it in place and keep it from rubbing.
@@RSWarriorBryan not sure how to send you an email here. I do think I got it figured out. Did a bit of research on how others are doing this and figured it out
🤣 sorry about that! I guess an email address would have been super f****** helpful. Bjmcmeekin1@gmail.com for future reference. Let me know if you end up needing help.
Hey buddy I am doing this clean up as well but my stock location that regulator or fpr is in that nozzle is facing down is there any reason u wanna point it up in the new location
Hey David, thanks for watching. As far as the nozzle goes, I have no good answer. The forum post I used to do mine, just said to have it pointed up. Seems like I may have seen another one that said it didn't matter though, can't really remember. That said, I have no good reason for it other than that's what it said in the post. Lol sorry, I don't have a better answer, but hope it helped somewhat. If you need any help, let me know. Not too far away from you from what I remember.
@@RSWarriorBryan so weird I was thinking that the new location was above the motor so that's why they turned it but I dont know I'll have to do the same since everyone's warrior is running fine. And ya doing the clutch next winter is going by quick
Sorry about that. You'll need to buy about 30 cm of fi hose. You'll probably only use about twenty, but I tried to have enough extra in case of mess ups. Hope the video helps, and thanks for watching and commenting!
So I didn't realize how big of a pain this was with a stock air box on. Guess I'll be doing a BAK asap. A little nervous on how the FPR is sitting currently. So I don't think I'll be riding until then :(
I'm sorry to hear that!! There is a way to get a BAK using the stock air box that can save you a lot of money over the big name kits. Check out the diy BAK on the forum. A lot of info on how to do it yourself. If you do want to purchase one, I have the churchkey, but I'd recommend the Barons or Patrick racing. Barons has a relocation plate for the coils, which is something you'd have to get separately on the other two kits. Sorry again that the bike is down, I hope it's back up and going quick!!
Hey Bryan, I actually had my warrior go down in the grass yesterday because I was being stupid... that’s besides the point lol. Anyways, my scoop for the left side (the one you removed) cracked and broke in two pieces. I cannot seem find them anywhere online at all. Do you know where I can find one or is there any way I could possibly buy yours off you?
Thanks for the comment and for watching! Those left side covers are getting hard to come by. Even places that sell oem parts aren't keeping them in stock anymore. I actually sold mine a couple months ago though. If you ever need the right side coffin, I've got you covered. Are you part of the forum or Facebook groups? Both would be good places to search or post that you're need one. Hope that helps and hope you're able to find one and hopefully a good used one. New ones are close to a hundred and fifty dollars depending on where you look. Thanks again! If you haven't yet, be sure to subscribe and hit the bell to get notified of new videos when I put them out.
Yeah I’ve been looking everywhere. I’m not in Facebook groups but I’ll find some! I am also in need of a tank and I don’t want to spend $900+ on the tank, if you know of any or hear of any good used ones please let me know! Thanks for all the info! Definitely subscribing!
Ouch! Nothing like a thousand dollars between two parts! Definitely look at the yamaha rs warrior buying selling and trading, rs warrior owners, and roadstar warrior pages. I'm a part of all three and you'll see them once in a while on there. Hope you find something, and I will definitely keep my eyes open for them for you.
Was able to find this side cover, but still cost too much for my liking. I'd wait for a used one, or do a left side clean up. I believe all the parts I got for my left side was less than the one fifty-five they want for the cover. www.cheapcycleparts.com/oemparts/p/yamaha/5px-21731-00-00/cover-side-3
I was just going to ask you about that, to clean up the left side do I just need the AIS removal kit and then do the fuel regulator relocation? Seems to be the cheaper option and definitely makes the bike look thinner. I’ll probably just do the clean up. Do you plan on doing a right side clean up as well?

Glad you got the bulb figured out. I went out in my garage this weekend seeing if I still had the amber lenses in case you went a different route. Lol

Hi can you tell me where the hose from fuel regulator co ne to to after fitting big air kit
Thank you very much for this.
No problem! Hopefully it was able to help out. Thanks for watching and commenting. Stay safe and healthy out there brother!
Great info!! Much appreciated!!!

hi hello nice video's thank you for that..but why are you relocate the regulator?

How long is the hose in metric standards? Cm/mm

Yeah, that's a big reason. A few other reasons, but that's definitely a big one.
