I love when Mii characters thank you for giving them food and all the shop owners thanking you very much for buying their products! All those characters are so nice and polite! Thank YOU, Mii characters and shop owners! The Mii characters and shop owners don't thank you in Tomodachi Life unfortunately.
They do in the Japanese version! I have both the European version of Tomodachi life and an imported version from Japan and in the Japanese version, they thank you for buying products from shop, sometimes for feeding them etc. Its a culture thing that didnt carry on into western versions I think.
4:17 Here's some help. If you want to make the correct personality for a Mii character on this game, Just copy off the personality for her that you did in Tomodachi Life. It's pretty easy.
That's the reason why tomodachi collection wasn't released in Europe or North America. They tried to adapt the voice bank to English speaking phonetics so that this wouldn't happen but were unable to 😔
@@Aliix458 well yeah but keep in mind that DS games are targeted primarily to children. I don't think it'd exactly appeal to the child audience having to read everything ngl.
I’ve been emulating Collection but for some reason I decided to get the original version instead of a translation. I do know a fair amount of it and oddly enough it helps far more than it should
I cant play it on my DSi cause no matter how I apply the Ap patch it still doesnt work because when I try to create a mii it crashes and it gives me a blank white screen
What!!! 🤯 When you said Tomagachi Collection, I thought you meant putting all of your Tomagachi Life videos into one big video! 😅 So... can you put Pete Wentz in Tomagachi Collection (The underdog in your Tomagachi Life videos)? Oh! And can you play Fallout New Vagas (I personally enjoy watching people play New Vagas), Animal Crossing New Leaf, or Stardew Valley? Sorry for writing like a paragraph! 😅
@@michaelfreese4958 it’s actually optional in Tomodachi Collection and also Japanese Tomodachi Life, as well as other Japan-exclusive stuff like Wii no Ma
In Japan, your blood type can determine your compatability with another person who either has the same blood type or a different one. It can also be used to determine your personality according to superstitions.
Unless you have a Japanese console, unfortunately the answer is no. Tomodachi collection was only released in Japan because at the time of its creation, technology wasn't advanced enough to adapt the original voice bank to Western languages. Therefore, the Japanese game will only be compatible with Japanese consoles unless you have a region broken console (modded console).
i tried downloading the tc game but i don't get why it has to be japanese and it's not annoying if you speak over it and i can't understand a word the miis are saying.
The reason why the game is only in Japanese is because at the time of its creation, the developers didn't have the technology they needed to successfully adapt the voice bank to Western languages. They did try to release tomodachi collection for Western audience in Europe and North America, but because the voice bank kept breaking everything they tried to change from Japanese to English, the future releases of Western editions of the game were cancelled. If you have ever played a Japanese version of any tomodachi life and put english/latin text in names instead of Japanese characters, you'll hear the difference- in the Japanese version, the game doesn't understand English phonetics. It produces every letter individually in what it thinks is correct pronunciation (a lot of the time it isnt). This is what tomodachi collections developers were trying to fix and failed.
This feels so vocaloid coded idk why
LOL it literally does sound like a vocaloid when they talk.
why did i forget to heart ur comment ur one of my best friends oml im so sorry😭
I think they originally used utau
because the Mii speech synthesiser uses a vocaloid system, like most Japanese TTS
Pretty much vocaloid on a synth budget
fun fact: the tomodachi collection voicebank is carried over to the japanese version of tomodachi life, the more you know
9:23 ofc Walter notices and is upset about a bug in his room 😂
This is so cute, I love older DS games they're so charming in their own way even though they weren't super advanced.
Japanese games from tge 2000's are peak

if you notice, the voice spells out your name instead of saying it. you should've written how to pronounce it as something like カッシー (kasshii)
wouldn’t カッセイ(Kassei)be closer to cassie?

It’s crazy to see Mii’s on Nintendo DS!
I would love more Tomodachi Collection!
it’s so funny hearing the mii’s speak japanese when the games text is in english and the voices absolutely DESTROY my ears.
literally my first thought when i was watching this was "i need to make kanye" AND YOU MADE KANYE LMAO
That's the same name I have for my island
I cant play it on my DSi cause no matter how I apply the Ap patch it still doesnt work because when I try to create a mii it crashes and it gives me a blank white screen
Cya, try playing the Sims! It is a unique life sim I think you might enjoy. The base game is free, you just need a few bucks for addons.

Tomogachi? Close enough
OMG U DID TOMOCOLLECTION
Bro why is your blood type required😭😭😭
if i remember correctly (in japan) it has smt to do with who you are or something idrk i forgot
There’s a superstition that personality is affected by blood type
in tomodachi collection for the Japanese version, you can choose your blood types a, b or o and things are very different there
