Soo Sifu: Wishing you a great work week! Nice to see you, and your family, having a great time in Vegas. It was a great, and interesting, review of the foods of your hometown. I do hope you find some authentic Penang food in the LA-area, which you can do a review of in the future. I have been to one in Milpitas which was pretty good in the past but that was a long time ago. Looking forward to next vlog. Best wishes to you and the ohana, Sifu! Much 🧧and aloha, Sifu!

Reminds me of the kway teow I had in a corner unit coffeeshop next to a market in Penang. Really nice!

Harry. Great to see you trying some Penang food in Vegas! Visually, the food didn’t look appetising but I trust your ratings. After all you can cook most of these dishes with your eyes closed. Definitely the chicken rice and Char Keow Teow. We didn’t call you the chicken rice king of Lubbock for nothing.

LOL! That's why I'm starting a new WokWithHarry channel that will give Uncle Roger (fellow Malaysian) a run for his money! Foo Yah!

NYC had an amazing Malaysian restaurant in Penang. One in Manhattan, and another in Queens. I miss their Beef Rengdang and Lemongrass Chicken. I have never found a place in the US that makes Malaysian cuisine that ever lived up to Penang...

I will have to head to NYC to try. In Los Angeles, it's slim pickings on authentic tasting Penang food so I have to make my own.

@@SlapYoDaddyBBQ - It's been 20+ years since I've been at Penang in NYC. Not even sure it's around anymore. Would be shame if it closed. It should have been a NYC institution. LOL

Thanks for sharing Harry. Ethnic foods rarely taste as good in USA, as they do in their country of origin. Any better authentic Malaysian food spots in Southern
    California to try?

I'm originally from Penang. Used to fly for Singapore Airlines before being laid off and going to Texas Tech in the early 1980's.
