I seen a video about a year or so ago, where Brandon Michell rescued an elderly woman from her home near the front. She had been born and raised in Russia, moved to Ukraine when she was young, she was very angry at Russia for this war against Ukraine.
Yes, I often see things that remind me of Brandon‘s videos for the first year he was there. Things have changed so much; but I really appreciate his willingness to go wherever needed.
I think it depends a little upon exactly where you’re living. For example in some places you might say “I done seen...” what exactly did they say in your neck of the woods? 😉👩🏼🌾😁🖖🏼

I remember observing this chain of events in Odesa in my Facebook feed. I had several friends living there. Two days later, the Russian propaganda version of events came. It opened my eyes to the level of Russian lies. It always takes time to build a lie.
This was a charming screen tonight, thank you, Andrii, Rick, Mods, and everyone. Many thanks to Rick for talking about the Veterans tonight. They matter so much to us all, and their aftercare matters hugely. We must never forget they should know we are here if they need us in any and whichever way to help support them and their families. So many little children whose Dads and Mamas are Veterans, my heart goes out to the little children.

I remember seeing what I think was a pre-war video of Roman. He was so athletic and agile. And then such a badass warrior. Brain injuries can take a long time to heal. I hope he does recover with time.
Any kind of nerve damage is slow to heal.

For some reason Starsky's pronunciation of Gigolo - heavy on the jiggle - makes it sound even more naughty. Cute how he and Rick blush so easily. Kidding aside I see Rick's point on the paintings. I too thought of how Ukrainians are stopping Russia defending freedom and the future generation with their bodies, which gives the paintings a poignant beauty. Tragic.

Veteran health is crucial to help them return to civilian life, Jake Broe has given a shout to Richard Woodruff to help veterans have a break in the Carpathian mountains which is another project worth supporting.
A good form of therapy for PTSD is Rapid Eye Movement, maybe Project Konstantin can help find/train therapists after the war is over an many people will need it. 💙💛
For Romain, there is a voluntary initiative that helps with veterans, by sending them into the Capetian mountains for therapy and rest (I watched a video about this, but I need to dig up the details). They might be a good starting point for finding help for Romain, they will surely be aware of other veteran aid organisations. I am now going to root through my video watching history, it will take some time. I think the reportage was within a Jake Broe video, for this reason I can't find it. However, you will have a direct hot-line to Jake Broe.

I just want to give Roman a hug. I too suffer from multiple TBI and PTSD. You fight to rehabilitate, but sometimes… hard to accept. Most important: brain breaks (sitting on the side walk).

In the USA, the treatment of our veterans is not perfect. Thankfully, we do live in a democracy where we can organize and demand change. Some veterans are homeless, some don’t fully rehabilitate, some are fighting cancer due to their service… Keep up the good fight, you may be needed well after 🇺🇦 is victorious. 🙏🕊️

@@AstroGremlinAmerican Well, I guess I’ve gotta agree with him that it’s at least not right to napalm women and children… That whole thing was a psychotic mess based on lies. It was very small, but I had several years of checking the TV at least twice a day with family members to get the most recent update on Vietnam. One of my young uncles got drafted over there, and the neighbor boy. The neighbour boy didn’t come back, and my uncle was completely different, traumatized and not able to hold conversations, which was fine out in the field plowing and planting, or harvesting crops. But he couldn’t seem to treat people well anymore, and gradually built up more and more walls around his life. He moved further away & didn’t come to family gatherings anymore.
So what do you think of Vietnam? Do you think it was worthwhile to lose all those US boys? Or do you think it was more like Ukraine than I know?

Ukrainian flag usually goes here. Then I type in all capitals, victory to Ukraine. Then I space down 1 or 2 spaces and type, quick see this before yt removes it. And, then yt removes it.

@@richardwarner3705 I just tell my search engine “Translate English to Ukrainian“ & go; It takes me to a page where I can either speak to or type into it what I want to say. I type in English, and it pops up in Ukrainian! Then I can copy and paste wherever I want.

But this is real life, and relationship building stuff. On Friday evening Starsky likes to just chill, chat & recover from the week. You know, these guys are real people who need some downtime as well. some of us are actually interested in them as people with real lives. 💙🇺🇦🖖🏼
