Just recently lost a friend who was the principal clarinet player for the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. His name was Stanley Drucker. He was with them for 60 years! Joined when he was 19 and retired at the age of 80. We broke bread a few times. According to Forbes magazine, he was the World’s Greatest clarinet player. A real gentleman and very humble man. His son Leon is a founding member of the 80’s rockabilly group The Stray Cats. He the son is also very humble.
I’ve been playing clarinet for 6 years and I’m in 10th grade. I’ve been working on more professional music lately so I hope I could play something like this because it sounds really fun to play, and I have recently been working on the opening solo for rhapsody in blue and it’s coming along quite well. 😄

One day I'm walking towards my friends and they're like "what's that in ur little suitcase" I'm like "it's a clarinet" A week later I bring it again for my lessons and they're like "Hey Squidward" anyone else relate. Clarinet can sound so amazing at times. It's annoying when people are like "Sup Squidward" Like if Squidward didn't play clarinet nobody would really know what it is. well other than people who play or know people who play. I started at the end of yr 7 and I'm still doing it I'm yr 9 now.
