Roger Craig Smith is Chris Redfield. He's honestly the most fitting voice for the character. (And it's totally okay for you to say you don't like Resident Evil movies because we don't either. You don't have to be political with us.)
I don't think it's a matter of offending us as much as offending his potential employer since he would ideally still be involved as the voice of Chris Redfield in future games. In other words, if Capcom liked their movies, it's not good for Roger to say he didn't like them.
