      Thank you so much & welcome! Don't forget to check out my blog (humblebeeandme.com)-I've been blogging for over 8 years while I’ve only been on TH-cam for about 3.5, so there is TONS more content on the blog! I think TH-cam made a mistake cause I never got a notification for this video. Finally seeing it three weeks after.

      Yeah, I found a weird software glitch with this one. Basically, if I uploaded two videos for future release at the same time TH-cam publishes the second one immediately regardless of when I scheduled it for. ERK.

    Do you know what the melting point is for the bars? I'm thinking I wouldn't be able to mail or ship it during warmer weather/Summer.

      I would check out the encyclopedia she has on her website. Most likely you will find the melting point of all the ingredients.
      I don't remember if it is determined by the lowest melting point or an average melting point.
      I do know that adding an ingredient with a higher melting point (typically a wax) will adjust the melting point.
      So I guess it would be the average melting point.
      Correct me if I am wrong.

      @@zachariahkovac2048 Thanks but, I didn't mean a cooking temperature. Some brands have a disclaimer not to ship during certain months because waxes and fats can melt in the mail. I wouldn't want mine to melt in my purse in the Summer.

      I find adding emulsifying wax helps with my bath type melts to not melt at a room temp making it ok to mail out to friends & family. But I have not mailed any during hot summer weather only cooler weather. Only because I hear they will probably melt no matter what if it's summer heat.

  • @sandraand6690

    How would it work with a wax added to it to prevent melting and to much oil sweating, on the skin in the hot summer months?????

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want a version with wax I'd recommend checking out some of the other formulas on my blog that already contain wax; adding wax will necessitate a complete re-formulation :)

      You would have to contact the supplier but, all of them would tell you that it is not. Most of the time as the company probably does not know.
      If they get the mica from India then you could probably assume.
      I saw the video too it was horrifying to watch.

      The easiest way the guarantee that would be to source synthetic micas; unfortunately I haven't seen those for sale to home crafters yet.
