Your Madewell sweater and that hat both look really good on you! That's so sweet your son loves his handknit socks and wears them all the time. My son is the same way, and it makes my heart so happy! ❤
I agree with the others that mentioned a cowl, socks & hat as part of an amazing set. Loved all you showed, now, I remembered that I have a sock blank (or whatever I want to make) too. I have some mohair too and yarn in the same colour way,had to get it, but I don't know what to make with it. Love the Madewell cardigan that I something that would be a great addition to my wardrobe (such as it is). Thanks for showing us all the lovely things that you make and creating great patterns for us to make lovely things too.
I hear you on the design speed thing. It's helped me to realize that lots of these people who appear to be cranking out designs are actually working through their process up to a year before they publish.. so of course it looks like they knit super fast - the sample has already been done for a while!
Great episode. I do the same thing with my patterns. I also usually have a index card for quick notes and a post-it note in there as well. I’m at zero for gift knitting and I am not going to worry myself over it. I think your cardigan is gorgeous, the color is perfect. I think Your designs are beautiful. I will one day get the nerve to do one of your patterned socks, still just plain ole vanilla socks here.
If you ever get to the Tucson area, you’ve got to go to Birdhouse Yarns! It’s on East 6th Street. Holly Harper is the owner, and Pam Hackmyer is the manager. They have a store full of beautiful yarn from Arizona indie dyers. Please tell them I said hello!
Love your Madewell and what a perfect fit! Your socks from the “HomeBrew” SockBlank I sent you are perfect! I was thinking of all your IG coffee posts when I designed it! LOL Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family! 🙋🏻♀️
Kay, I noticed on an early podcast that you were knitting with DPN’s but you put your needles with yarn in this long piece of material that you snapped your needles and yarn into, how did you make them ?
Don't be so hard on yourself about designing. You are a busy wife and mom. Keep a little notebook stashed in your on the go bag and hot notes about them, they will come on when the time is right.
Hi Kate, you know what I think would be interesting....a knit along using sock blanks only!!
Your Madewell sweater and that hat both look really good on you!

Someone had answered my question but i lost it, I should say my phone did. If you would repost it I would appreciate it, I'm sure it is easy to do.
I found my answer.
I have never knit with a sock blank before and am interested now that you showed what they are! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
What sock pattern would you recommend for a first time sock knitter? Thank you.
The very first one I did was Vanilla Latte, it’s a free pattern on a Ravelry!
Crazy Sock Lady , thank you.
Love the spruce mitts. Yes please to socks.
I would make the spruce tree sock in yarn that is thick enough to be hiking socks
Let's not mention 'gift knitting' - yep! Way, way behind - I am so far behind. Lovely projects. Great catch-up video.

That is a perfect idea! ❤️
