My birthday was Wednesday, October 27th, and really really wonderful in every single way-- I'm so immensely grateful for the life I live and the people that make it wonderful. Somehow still, though, I manage to get the birthday blues every year.
I managed to mostly escape the blues this year by taking myself on many solo adventures, including: a visit to the birthday bridge, a perusal of a small bookstore, getting my haircut, wandering through the art museum, enjoying a cozy drink at a cafe and more!
Thank you so so so much for being here, friends, you made my birthday much less blue 💙

I just turned 56 in September. I am 30 years older than you dear Morgan. I found your channel today and thought it so beautiful and refreshing. You know, lonelyness and beeing alone are two different things. One can feel lonely, even in a big crowd.
Lonelyness is a state of mind, whereas beeing alone is a physical state.
The good news is, that lonelyness is a self made feeling, due to wrong thinking. If you turn your inner talk around, you will see, how things are going to change for you. I love beeing alone sometimes and enjoy the peace and quiet. I also enjoy good company sometimes, but am always glad to go back home into my "castle" and pull up the draw bridge. ;-)
If you feel lonely, whatch out for your thoughts in your head. What are the voices telling you to make you feel the way you do? Do not believe these voices. Start saying things you want to experience and focus on that. Do a focus wheel, like Abraham Hicks recommends. It really helps.

I believe you are meant to find things at the exact time you need them. I have been having a few hard days lately with my self confidence. I found your TH-cam channel today and have been watching nonstop. Thank you for being honest, thank you for sharing your light and joy. Sometimes your birthday can come with so much pressure for the day to feel so extra special that it's actually emotionally draining. This was such a lovely vlog and the live chat was magical, I think I teared up twice watching the whole thing. Every year on my birthday, I take the day off from work. I do something special for myself, I figure celebrating another year of life is worth the effort. It’s always something I look forward to. Hope your birthday was the best!!!
From a much older viewer, keep being self aware you’re doing a good job. You’re going to have highs and lows throughout your life. The best thing you can is feel your feelings, accept the good along with the bad and maintain an attitude of gratitude.

Happy Birthday my friend. I have never felt alone when I actually have no one around me expect my cat Molly, but I have felt lonely when I have my roommate or my brother are here. Their are times when I connect better to the youtubers I watch then to the people that are in my life. As for having my the life I want not even close and I am 41 years young. I love the hug and I give a hug back. I too had no one around for my birthday. I just smile and did the things that would keep me smiling all day long.

That's how I usually do my birthday during the day. I celebrate myself. Then at night celebrate with family and friends. When I turned 26, I balled 😭. I was so hard on myself and was so disappointed where I was at that point. You're much more grounded and centered at 26 than I was. You have agood head on your shoulders. I can definitely relate to the personal growth. Decided to become an EMT in 2020 and now it's forcing me to grow in a lot of ways. There were things I wouldn't do by myself and I was too afraid to but now I have to because of my job. So I've gained more confidence and experience. So I'm growing alot too. Wonderful video. Oh Morgan! You made me tear up on your last quote of your video. I needed that! I have been having trouble with my season of motherhood. I have been loving it and not loving it but like all mom sometimes get lost in pleasing everyone and your children that I have forgotten myself. My heart seriously skipped a beat. I need to take time for myself and enjoy MYSELF. I miss dating myself back when it was only me. I forgot how lovely it is to be alone and enjoy the peace of my spirit and the love I have it. I know what you mean about the birthday blues and expectations. I’ve been thinking about this a lot since I turned 39 in august. I’m officially mid-life and I thought I’d be a textbook adult like in the movies. The woman who has matching glamorous pajamas. Lol. What I’ve learned is our bodies age and we gain wisdom from experience through the years but our truest inner selves and our feelings don’t age in that same way. I still feel like I’m 22, I just know more now (and have more bills, oof). I think that’s how it’ll always be. You never truly feel like you’ve arrived somewhere.
