He’s one of those comedians that are genius. He’s intellectual with his comedy and emotionally deep. He’s an incredible storyteller and I’m proud that he’s able to finally say who he is. He makes me want to be my full self as well. It’s not easy! As he explains so perfectly.

The charmichael show was where I first saw Jerrod. Loved the show and how it handled issues. Made me so mad when they cancelled it. So glad to see him and am impressed still. Keep it up! Being real is so important “in these sensitive times” .
I just watched Rothaniel, and for me, it was one of the greatest standups I've ever seen. Perfect blend of realness and hilarity, EXTREMELY relatable, instant classic in my view.

Rothaniel was amazing. Its funny, I'd heard him before on specials and in interviews and I found him funny but something didn't stick. Secrets are so loud sometimes but one can't tell what's being hidden. I'm so happy for him. I'm so sad about how his family is choosing nonsense over loving their baby. I hope he has a kind circle of friends.
It's inspiring to see someone stand in their truth like Jerrod Carmichael. I hope the relationship with members of his family heals and they come around to seeing that his sexuality doesn't change their love for him.

Jerrod's recent interviews are so heavy. I hope he finds the love and acceptance he's craving from his family. If not, I pray he can make peace with that. His HBO special was absolutely beautiful though. I'm happy he found the courage to do it in that way.
