I also like Vespa scooters, however, the scooters sold in the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries except Indonesia are all made in Viet Nam. The factory is owned by Piaggio Vietnam Co., Ltd. located in Binh Xuyen Industrial Zone, Vinh Phuc Province. Other factories of Vespa in Asia are in India, China and Indonesia. The Vespas in Europe and the Americas are made in Chicago, USA and different European countries such as Italy, Germany & UK. Unlike other classic scooters such as Benelli, Lambretta, Royal Alloy (original design is from Scomadi) and Peugeot Vespas have unibody chassis while others are a combination of unibody and double cradle frame or just double cradle frame. Benelli is bought and made by Qianjiang Motors (QJ Motors) based in China; the Lambrettas are manufactured in India, China, Indonesia and Viet Nam; Royal Alloy in Thailand, Peugeot are made in Viet Nam. The fairings of these classic scooters are a combination of metal and ABS Plastics such those in the Vespas, Lambrettas and Royal Alloy and mostly ABS plastics for the Peugeot Django and Benelli Panarea (similar to QJMotorsTorino) as well.
