Great reaction as always but I loved your analysis of the episode way more, I never get tired of people talking about this show I guess. Group discussion really adds some perspective to every reaction so I hope all three of you guys are there for the season finale!
The big guy is like a Patron who “adopts” kids and foster them into strong men, doing his bidding. “I am proud of you” was him saying he’s a “proud father,” which is sickening on its own. Side note: Vane hates Slavery and anybody who profits from it.
“It makes sense, she’s alone, she’s got no one and men like him are very attractive...” Wow! That was deep. I like you guys diving deeper into the story. It reminds me of Literature and philosophy classes in the good old college days. Discussions used to be fire 🔥🔥🔥
Seasons 2, 3 and 4 are all 10 episodes each. Season 2 is fucking INSANELY good, and the s2 finale, in particular, is one of the most incredible hours of TV to air. Easily on par - or better, IMO - than anything Game of Thrones has ever done. And DC-San is going to be stoked with Silver as the series goes on. Some of the best character growth you could wish for.
Kyle Semenoff I like this because I’m glad to see ppl who love the series as much as I do. But I don’t because it reminds me of something I read on the Normies comment section on one of their videos. The person mentioned how we Black Sails fans tend to hype the series up and it leaves ppl wanting cuz they go in with these insanely high expectations. Yes, I go to bat for Black Sails all day, but let ppl form their own opinions. And going in with tamed expectation only optimize the experience.
@@Phizzo4real I totally get that, and I agree that the people hyping Sails on the Normies channel have been relentless about it and that's a dangerous thing, like you said. That's not quite so frantic here, and I say it because I genuinely believe it, but tried not to be over hyperbolic. 😉 And I have to give props to DC San too, because he's one of the most perceptive reactors out there and I think he'll get it - storytelling excellence, as we know, isn't all about how good the CGI on the dragon is. 😉

Black Sails fans, including myself are really passionate and I've seen some jokes about how some fans practically foam at the mouth every time a fandom expresses their disappointment of where their shows are going, ready to recommend. It happened a fair bit with the whole GoT thing. I guess I never saw it as a bad thing because I stoped watching after the first season and those rabid fans made me go back to it a few moths after the show ended but I will be more careful now.
I know right! He has to be there to see, I loved his guesses about where the characters are going. On some things it's like "Whoa! they're close" and in others "They have no idea of what's about to go down" lmao

I hate it when viewers try to “force” reactors to fall in love with a certain series or a certain character immediately. Form your own opinions and I will let you enjoy the experience rather than giving insane expectations. That being said, season 2 is better and each season gets better that the last, I think.
