For some reason, I love that the KOs come with tech spec decoders. :) Don't know about Sunstreaker, but I've seen Soundwave on a later run with the rub sticker which my 84 one does not have.
I've recently found pics with the rub sign on the door. But the first runs didn't have rub signs, but later runs did. I think you'll find that with all the original 84 run.
When my hands didn't stay in the arm, I took the arm apart, and found that the big button and little button are molded together in a circular mold.the circle had some extra plastic on it from the mold. So I scraped it off. And now the hand stays on.
I wish whoever makes these wonderful knock offs would make a G1 Megatron knock off. And I love the knock offs. All G1 transformers were knock offs of Takara toys. So what's the difference? My first Soundwave was a MC 10 cassette man toy. And it actually looked more like a real Walkman than the Hasbro version did. So in my books diaclone and Microchange were cool.
The missle/chrome laser cannon things come on a sprue with my original 80s Suntreaker. The yellow parts were in a clear bag. I only took 2 missles off and the third I left on the sprue which when I look at different listings seems to be what more than a few people did.
I bought a few counterfeit transformers and they were perfect. However my friend bought a couple that look different than mine and were obviously cheap crap. Clearly counterfeited by another company. Now I won't buy any unless I can look at them in person.
I totally get it. That's why I do these videos, because I would be concerned with buying a piece of crap. I try to link back to the same product source that I received the toy to review from, so you can be more confident in what you are receiving. But yeah, I have gotten cheap, shoddy, disappointing counterfeits in the past. And any I receive now will definitely get a review to warn others.
Mine came with a broken arm. It was a fake screw in the arm, and the plastic just broke. Would not suggest buying this. You can get a real one for 80usd or so. Just buy that.
@@ToySpotlite did get a refund. Overall I've had bad luck with the "high quality" kos. Had a reflector with a broken arm too. The mirage was solid though. I get your point about having a fresh toy, but the vintage ones hold resale value, so it's always best to pay twice the price for the real thing.
Stickers on mine. These KOs don't have any factory stickers applied typically according to Toy Spotlite's videos. Hilariously this one had better yellow paint than my original from the 80s. Especially the plastic transparent chest piece. Mine wasn't as clear transparent, slightly tinted and the yellow needed an extra coat. The feet were also a little thin on paint around the flip down headlight details on top of the cars nose but I guess that was to better show the detailing in the die cast. He had character lol. I like the silver paint on his face for this one it looks a little more reflective than mine was as well.
@@ToySpotlite I didn't. I wanted to tell you that I've put a link to this video in the main/first page of "THE KNOCKOFF TRANSFORMERS THREAD" at the Allspark forums, as an example of a "counterfeit TF"
Just bought him off of Temu for $5.00 because of a account discount for signing up. Can't wait to get it for my collection.
Just got my g1 ko Sunstreaker and I put the labels on and they started ro peal off. So I just ordered toy hax labels. Can't wait for those to come in.
These are surprisingly high quality for KOs

I can tell you that the windshield on the KO is clear while the original is shaded...

They're not knockoffs since they were licensed products. Hasbro licensed them and they still have the license to Transformers.
We need a black repaint called Moonstreaker.

I got a KO Sunstreaker and the quality is solid.
Question. Do these knockoffs has the same metal parts as the real ones, or are the all plastic, and feel much lighter? Thanks
They are die-cast. Feel the same.
Awesome, thanks!

Maybe ko but still taken from original moulds
Hey you. Hi. This is a really nice reissue Sunstreaker.
Agreed. It's nice to have a minty Sunstreaker in my collection, even if he isn't official.
reissue,ok but just as good as orginal and in box complete for a great price.
Can you use a KO as a donor to an original that's missing some parts?
More than likely, yes.

Sorry you experienced that. Did you contact the seller?

You can tell it's fake, because the original g1 Sunstreaker had some red on both his upper arms.

Why are my comments getting removed automatically?
I don't know. I can't see them. If you put links in them, that could be the reason.

I have no idea then. Weird. And thanks for sharing.
