This guy has used it in actual MMA fights and won....some really stunning knockouts so its very practical, I think people forget that the "dance" part was to cover up the actual martial arts training you don't do all the "moves" but you focus on the kicks and sweeps and strikes that you learn through muscle memory from performing the dance. Or look at it this way, boxers hit the speed bag and skip rope but you don't do those exact movements in a real fight but they develop hand speed, foot coordination and cardio.

Well as has been said before Marcus Lelo Aurelio has proven it works in MMA. But he's not on an Anderson Silva level or Fedor etc.. when it comes to being a dominant fighter. In MMA you need more than just 1 style. But he sure as hell is one of the coolest fighters ever in MMA.
Problem with Capoeira in MMA is that it's a high risk style but the reward is often also high.

Vai depender da sua :" entrega ", do seu empenho, da sua disciplina de treinamentos, e claro, da pessoa que ira orienta-lo. Porem nao esqueca que dependendo do seu biotipo, voce podera, aproximar-se desse nivel, igualar-se a ele, assim como ser melhor. O mais importante 'e comecar / e ou continuar treinando, pois seguramente que vc ira descobrir outras coisas pra la de interessantes na capoeira, assim como sao os floreios do contra-mestre barraozinho.

Capoeira takes a lot of time to learn and master, but don't be discouraged! I have a guy in my group who is quite talented but what's important is that he's really dedicated, he doesn't have nearly as much experience or knowledge as Marcus here, he's been practicing his whole life I believe, but don't quote me on that, anyways this groupmate of mine have leaped in skills and developed a very beautiful style of capoeira in 6 years only!
