You can “steal” basically anything if you are an interior designer in Sims 4, without the kleptomaniac trait. Just put items in your inventory instead of selling things while on the job.
Spellcasters also have the Burgliate Spell which allows you to steal fridges, counters and even beds. I love doing that. Maybe if you try this challenge again, you could use a combo of the Klepto trait and the Burgliate spell.
My Spellcaster rags to riches started with searching through dumpsters, repairing things and then using them for build. That was also a very interesting process.
As I'm watching, I'd love to see a version of this with dumpster diving and build with what you get. You can always "replace" any of the burnt furniture to get it new again.
My Sim just completed a Rags to Riches where she furnished an entire five bed three bath house by dumpster diving or making items herself. I could only buy curtains, a trash bin, a smoke detector and the skill items I needed to create other items.
Challange idea! Basically Rags to riches mixed with no mistakes. The premiss would be to make a finished house, but if you have placed an item you cant move it again. Only exeption is if you bought a cheap bed in the beginning you can upgrade it, but you have to place it a the same place as the old one!

For this format, the rooms could also be inspired by hobbies. Put all the activity items in a room and let the Sims decide what they want to do. And furnish the room based on this. For example, chess for the living room or the telescope for the bathroom, etc. Love the videos!

I absolutely love the way you decorate the homes that you make in a creative way. Its truly amazing! I was hoping that maybe one day you could do a house building challenge in which you build and ancient roman or greek house as historicaly accurate as possible. That would be such a fun and entertaining challenge especialy for history nerds :D
Unfortunately it was confirmed in an FAQ with pack developers that burglars are not coming with the new pack- snoopy sims can break in to snoop but they won’t steal things. Hopefully they add it in the future though, it was such a cool part of past games!!
@@Dragontardigrade I see where you’re coming from- I had my rental house broken into a couple years back and me and my roommates were stolen from and the house ripped apart (so I can see how it could be too real for some people)- but I feel like if they added burglars to TS4 it might be a feature you could turn off like many other gameplay features so you could opt out of it if you did not want to see that happening. However it is an aspect of the game that many people loved having in past iterations that added realism and extra difficulty.
@@Dragontardigrade and yes I wish we could opt out of the game generating sims- I want to have realistic “isolated” small town with only my own sims and no random badly dressed townies 😭.
syd if you want a challenge try building your own safe file but using only items from that world (willow creek use only base game, in selvadorada use base game and jungle adventure, in coperdale use base game and high school years and etc)

You can get counters, appliances, toilets, showers and sinks by dumpster diving. Maybe the next challenge could be stealing & dumpster diving to furnish a house.
Yes, you can steal pets! Ask to join household, and just add their pets to yours. I had a sim steal a dog from one family, it died of old age, and I gave the urn as a gift back to them.

LOVE this video, so unique! I love your gameplay videos and would love some more of those in any capacity. Build ideas would be tiny homes/rooms themed after different Studio Ghibli movies. Ditto for other anime, or different animals. Also building/upgrading houses for townies based on their style or conversations with them to find out their favorite colors and the activities they like. And it would be cool if you took subscriber build requests-like a random lottery and whoever wins asks you to build a house for them fitting whatever details. These are all just ideas because you asked but everything you do is amazing as-is!!

Build idea: Build a house by buying items from the flea market. Buy every item you can from the flea market and use that as inspiration for the whole house.

I moved to a pretty small town and I had a welcome wagon!! Two different neighbors immediately came over to introduce themselves (also helped with the big furniture items) and a third bought me pizza and soda. Next day one of the older ladies brought me some dinner and an apple pie. It was so amazing, and now I’m part of the welcome wagon whenever someone else moves in. 🥹
Imagine this irl... Like- you walk into that house and see the used fridge and counter and then BAM that huge ass expensive TV 😂😂 Or- you go in there and see like 6 things that suddenly are missing from your own place and you see them here like "...🧐" 😂
What if you made a house based off the DIY things from growing together? Each of the teddy bears could secretly be sentient and they have a secret house in the woods, or maybe they run a daycare they live in? Idk teddy bears deserve a build

or you can use Repairio spell.
I had a klepto in the detective career, and stole every item that could be stolen in the police station.

A fun challenge you could try is place beds with cool bedding like the ones from High School Year and have that be the theme for the bedroom
