I'm a farmer from Trinidad and Tobago. here's no big country like you guys got. here big farms are 10 to 50 acres,large ones are 50+ which are few. I watch a lot of videos of farming. I enjoy most of them. but my best are those that shows and reminds us why were farmers. farming started as a family business and OVER TIME has turned into a money grabbing business. bills got to be paid yes. but when you farm with family, with love and with passion that's a whole other world. the world God has blessed us with in the beginning. some may say your different. but differents good. thanks for sharing your world. I've always said to my friends a family that lives,farms,eat together will prosper together by God's grace. may God bless you all .
Great to see a farm video with peolpe of all generations and the daily life as we farmers know it. Not just brave men in the most modern and greatest machines. Happy harvest to you all from Norway.
Well you certainly caught the atmosphere there. I think its great that you can stop for a short time to enjoy lunch together, it doesn't happen here, we eat on the move. Every minute is precious especially when wheat turns fit. Very very well done!!
Lionel Murfet Hi Lionel. 1978 was the year I started farming. I am from Northern Saskatchewan and up here at that time a large farm was 1200 acres. Now it’s 12000+. It has been a cold late spring and most of the guys have just finished spraying and are now moving record amounts of grain as the demand is there with coved country’s are stock piling. The rail lines have lost lots of regular customers which makes for more cars to haul grain to port. Thanks for your sharing.
@@johnzuck6163 Hi John, thank you for your message. 1978 is a long time ago now although it really only seems like yesterday when I think back. I was working near Cut Knife and at the time I guess it was a large farm at 5000 acres with 500 head of beef cattle. It has expanded since those days. It was a great time for me to see and operate the big Versatile tractors and wide cultivators on the farm. All of the crops were swathed at that time and picked up by the combines a couple of weeks later. Cereal harvest has started over here with Oilseed (Canola) & Winter Barley but of course it has been raining most of this past week so is delaying progress. Take care. Lionel
