  • We found about 15 rolls of 1961-P Lincoln cents. They are possibly the greatest set of rolls that will ever be found. Not just one top population coin, but many.

Did you end up selling any of these? What was the highest grade of the ‘61 P’s did you end up with?

What did it end up grading?

I actually just put up a video about that. 3 coins were sent in to see how we would do, and they all got a 67.

@@numismaticsanonymous4952 wow thats awesome. So about $800 each. Nice. Im pretty new to all this. All ive done is research. Haven't sold or graded anything yet. It seems like i have a lot of potential items. Even after being really critical like everyone says here. The highest potential one i have is 1968 S nickel FS. But it looks like a proof to me. Lol no way its this nice. Found it in MY Dads change hes had for years.

@@raulvaldez9800 I am by no means as good as many dealers, but will humbly admit that I have developed an "eye" for grading after continued learning for 4-5 years. Keep learning, keep hunting, and I am sure there are plenty of things you will trip over that will be worthy of submitting. Either because they have high value, or they simply have such beauty and eye appeal that it will help to preserve them in a slab.

Please stop using bare hands. When I open my higher grade rolls I use a mask because breathing on them causes carbon spots and cotton gloves and a rubber mat to set them on. I open the rolls very carefully and please do not spin the coins while they are on top of another coin. Always pull one coin at a time. Copper mars copper very easily. Full Strike, Luster and eye appeal is very important for MS-67 and up grades.

Thanks for your thoughts. I will politely disagree on wearing gloves. I wash my hands thoroughly and handle them carefully by the edges, just like the grading services. I appreciate your input about spinning. Perhaps I could take more care in that.

    worth 1961 penny no mint?

    • @numismaticsanonymous4952

a 1961 cent that has been in circulation is worth nothing special at all. It's worth 1 cent.
Only the highest grade, most pristine examples are worth more than $0.01, as shown in this video.

Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! I got 3 at MS67. In our next submission, I might send 2 of the better ones back in for reconsideration. I'll keep you all updated.
