Watching this video reminds me so much of myself when I was 10 in the early 80s, and got me so emotional. I was so madly i love in playing football as a 10 yo back then living in the small town of Melaka. We played everyday after school until dark. I always had the dream and motivation of playing professionally one day in the English, German or Italian leagues. My school did not have a padang, let alone a football team. But that did not stop me from organising a team and I became the captain. Our team members saved 10c a day each to buy our boots, gloves and team jerseys. We sneaked into neighbouring school to play on their field. We woke up at 6am to train on weekends until noon when the sun was too hot to continue. We joined competitions to take on bigger boys. The motivation we had for the sport that we loved was unstoppable. Resources and information were limited then and we did not know the support system available for us or the path to take to continue our passion, and we all stopped pursuing our dreams at one stage. It was so sad. TBH, what you are doing has my greatest admiration. Please don't forget those kids outside the cities who have similar dreams. Please reach out to them, give them some guidance and open some doors for them and their parents, for they may just be the next Malaysia World Champion. Please do some outreach programs by your Academy, and jelajah Malaysia for our kids !
