I have come to the conclusion it is because the ones who want to control all the poor people want to keep us all oil dependant. There's no disputing the fact that Dinar and Dirham is mentioned in the Qoran. Just because it is mentioned makes it the only mode of doing transaction halal in the eyes of god .Is it explicitly mentioned that ANY OTHER MODE OF TRANSACTION READ PAPER MONEY is not acceptable and it would be haram. Please give the Ayat number if so. Did God not know that modern society would be using paper currency and if he knew and in his eyes it is Haram then he should have explicitly mentioned that any other form of transaction -paper currency -would be haram. Before the advent of Gold and Silver coins business transactions and day to day dealings were in Barter. As society evolved the transactions moved to Gold and Silver coins and further society progressed it came to paper currency. Had God been so against paper currency then he would have mentioned in the Torah, Bible and the Qoran. Please don't comment that the former has intrinsic value and the latter no intrinsic value.
