One of the few great things about the internet & you tube is that we have access to amazing interviews like this.

I loved Derek Jacobi as Claudius, and was enthralled with him as Richard II.

I always sensed he was a great person in addition to a great actor but had never seen him as himself until now. Lovely.

What an absolutely wonderful interview. Sir Derek is a brilliant actor. I saw him in Richard III and Richard II over two consecutive nights in London. Truly a genius of versatility on the stage. I also saw in as Alan Turing in Breaking the Code. His talent is absolutely exceptional.

Cadfael is underrated IMO, it’s very much of its time though. But when you look past some dodgy acting and dodgy ADR, it’s a good little hidden gem

I saw Derek on stage at Chichester twice when he was with NT in the 60's but never realised his significance until, of course, "I Claudius". However, my favourite performance of his was as Jackson Hedley in an episode of Frasier. His talent for self-parody was superb and I admire the way he "sent himself up" so well. I'm sure the cast must have been in hoots of laughter during rehearsals.

It’s nothing to do with ‘luck’. It all depends on one’s Vibrational Energies. Namaste.
