Shane is just funnier than he should be. It's tough to explain but he just grows on you. I think the ck comparison is adept but to the monotone point that's something ck doesn't get enough credit for are his voices, they are just subtle.

Louis is one of Shane's biggest influences for sure. A lot of his premises are exact copies of old louis jokes, not in a stealing way, but the concepts are the same

its def his timing, subtle facial expressions and intonation synced in unison. It looks to me like he's reading the crowd in faster than real time kind....only other thing i can compare it to is...maybe a air to air dogfight...or maybe an artist free rapping bars to some random beat. I don't think he's rolling in with a set that is pre determined...feels very improvised?
I learned to tell them Lefties or Righties that I'm sorry I don't know their pronouns and that I'm sorry. Let them call themselves whatever they want and your day will be ok
It doesn’t bother me with Shane because it feels real and blended in. I agree with not liking comedians that laugh at their own jokes but there are a handful that can get away with it.
