    I'm new to dehydration of food and I was watching your video and it's very educational. Thank you for the steps. I can't wait to use mine.

    Thanks Suzie. Where do you store the strawberry roll up after you put it in the plastic bag? In the fridge or room temp with mason jar?

    Suzie how long do the fruit rollups store for you? (Since if they are still rubbery when rolled then they do still have water in them a little.)

    • @suziehomemaker9313

      I place them in a zip lock bag and they keep for 3 to 4 weeks with no problem. Just keep in a cool place. Or if you like put them in a sealed container.

    Isn't it better to incorporate the cinnamon while your making the apple sauces as opposed to adding it the way you are adding it?

      I have found with certain fruits like strawberries, lots of water in them, it helps to put in a sauscepan and simmer until thick, then put on the trays, will cut down on dehydrator drying time too.

    Not supposed to use less than 4 trays with that dehydrator. Even if you put an extra two empty trays in there.

    • @katieblakely8764
      @katieblakely8764 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why ? I just received a dehydrator and the directions didn't say to use a specific amount of trays .

    Can u use parchment paper??

    • @suziehomemaker9313
      @suziehomemaker9313  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have used parchment paper, but if you put too much on it will run off the sides of the paper. Plus I would still spray it with non-stick spray to make it easier to peel off when dry

    If you like Cinnamon with (or in) your apple-sauce or fruit roll-ups, then why would you not add and MIX the cinnamon PRIOR to scooping it out onto the dehydrator trays??

  • @OkiDingo
    @OkiDingo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    a little bit of sugar? To the rest of the world that was a lot!!! Also, the anti shake that youtube used to add to videos makes me nauseous.

  • @chandlerrita
    @chandlerrita 7 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    Your recipe should be made with limes or lemons not water. Also honey not sugar for your fruit roll ups.

  • @bushhog63

    • @anastasiaengland7375

      Robert Chutney how is this “useless”? I just got a dehydrator from someone and wanted to see how to make fruit leather in it. I find this video very useful. Just because you don’t have the equipment doesn’t make this video useless in general.

    • @dindonpoo163
      @dindonpoo163 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The video title specifically has the word 'dehydrator' in it. Anyone that watches should know what they're getting into.

      Very useful for those who are learning about dehydration. Very useful to those who wish to create fruit rollups. Useful, even to those who use non-electric methods to dry fruits and fruit products.
