    I try & keep one spot empty, then you can slide tins in n out easier. Plus I keep a paper clip in that empty spot … just stick one end of the clip in the teeny hole between tins and it’s a lot easier to get the tin lifted out.

    I love your number system for eyeshadow. I used a Sharpie and put the number on the back of the tin for when I rearrange my shadows. I also wrote the number right on the case, e.g., all #1 are in one column, #2-3 in another, etc.

      Me too! Plus I labeled them in a good notes file - category number, marked the mattes and mark off the ones I have!

    This is a helpful video. I have a gas stove top. I thought of putting a flat pancake pan on to melt on. But how do I get off? I thought about a spatula but I could spill it putting it down on the cabinet. Maybe I could do a few at a time then take the pan off the fire and let cool, but would stay hot longer.
    Also what tool do you use to lift the products out of compact without messes them up?
    Wo happy you talked about brush cleaning. I ordered the cleaner about a month ago but I have been spraying the brushes then wipin on a paper towel. Now I will do your way.
    Also do we never have to use soap and water for brushes?
    Thanks!

      You can use a cookie sheet over low flame. Just turn flame off and let them cool, don't try to move while melted! You can also use the lid to one of your tins to pry them out of the palette. And I recommend a deep clean with water and baby shampoo every once in a while! Keep the water only on the brush fibers though, you don't want it to get in the barrel of the brush or over time the glue will break down.

    The tins can be difficult to get out of the magnetic compact without accidentally sticking my finger in it (or another beside it!) I use the lid of a tin, flipped upside down to pry the edge up! Works like a dream.

    Great Hacks, thank you! Another tip/hack you mentioned awhile back and I use it.. is: If the bronzer develops a "film" take a paper towel and lightly rub across removing that top film. Works great!
    Now off to glue my pallettes together😀

    How long do they last before they expire?

    • @TheContouredChemist
      @TheContouredChemist  ปีที่แล้ว

      Since they have to give an expiration date its a year, but I've had some way longer than that and melting them fixes the only issue I see with time, which is drying out.

    I’m actually nervous getting color matched. The 4 times I had it done only one got my undertone correctly and she was around a NC 58 in color herself. Quite a bit darker than me. Everyone else matches my inflammation and rosacea. Not a cute look especially outside. Do you guys have a return policy. Because I am almost sold.

    • @jnikki
      @jnikki 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can easily swap for a new color if need be, or get a refund. There is a nominal shipping return fee deducted, but it is v very easy. Let Sarah color match you and give it a go. You won't regret it.
