    Wow, thanks for showing the whole process. Showing multiple kids really made your point about them not being traumatized. I love your videos, lots of great information and visuals without useless fluff. I'm looking forward to the next one!

    People need to realize goats are extremely resilient! Even the babies! Friend of ours had a baby goat that got attacked by some local dogs, he was shooken up but he was perfectly fine ( with a view from the vet just to be sure :) ) wasn’t afraid of dogs or anything and went about his day. They are fine!

    The baby goat runs over to their mom like "I'm soooo telling on u"!!!

    Brave man, putting that on TH-cam. People will give you grief no doubt.
    I'm not in favour of disbudding, myself but for those who are this is a perfect demonstration of how it should be done. Firmly but gently with confidence, capable hands and minimum stress to the kids. I'd suggest that if you don't think you can do it this efficiently, hire a professional.
    nicely done.

      Yep all ways get those haters but I get them on a lot of videos. I started making this video every year because of have people tell me how their vet killed a goat by doing it surgically.

    Great video, thanks for the tutorial. I’ll be doing some for the first time next season and I wanted to ask how do you determine which goats you will wether and dehorn and which ones you will leave as bucks at an early age? I would only want to disbud wethers. Thank you!

    Are you suppose to put anything on the burn spots like salvaging? It's script name is Silver Sulfadianzine cream USP 1% . It's a cream that dress and nurses put on severally burned patients to help cool the burn down and prevent infection. They have me a huge jar full of that stuff when I had the. 50 cent size hole in my hip from infection eating from the inside out. It works wonders on burns!!! I'm just wondering if it could be used on the lil kids!? And how can you do it without crying? Not me, lol!

    • @LetsTalkGoats
      @LetsTalkGoats  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We don’t put anything on them and have never had a problem with infection

    • @jodibrandl7522
      @jodibrandl7522 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Clear Creek Farm that's a good thing they don't get infected. Heavens we get a scratch and omg we get a serious infection.... go figure. They are a really strong and resilient lol species huh!! I do have another question and you'll probably think I'm an idiot but what is a boer goat? I know a doe and buck and wether but not what a boer goat is.

    How much pressure are you using? I've watched loads of videos trying to prepare myself for it but no one quite says if there should be pressure used or if you should just use the weight of the dehorner. Great video by the way!

      Just a Gentle pressure if it’s hot it doesn’t take much
