Little Orel is too precious for this world. His relationship with his Grandpa is really sweet. And the grandpa's comment about him "So easy to manipulate but too pure hearted to be corrupted" is such an amazing description of Orel. 10/10 show
Bro you’re the reason this whole series was unlocked in from my childhood memories and I’m so glad cause I rewatched the whole series too and couldn’t be more grateful bro
closest we got to a season 4 since Arthur was supposed to fall ill and move into the Puppington house side note: there is another unfinished episode called "narsaccism" that got a animatic but the voices aren't official
There's actually a few scripts floating around. There's Narcissism (which you brought up), and there's also a script for an episode called "Graped" (without the G) that focused solely on Miss Sculptham.
I hate that had we gotten season 4, we would've gotten more of Grandpa Arthur. Can't help but mourn the stuff we've lost because adult swim pulled the plug.
Season 4's main conflict , apparently, was supposed to bd Orel's grandfather showing up again, revealing that he was diagnosed a terminal ilness, at which point he moves into the Puppington household and bonds with Orel in the short time he has left. Giving him the genuine wisdom Clay could never provide and being one of the factors that leads to Orel breaking away from Clay entirely.
This was the best series ever. I'm sad to see this series end! But what you'll find out in the beginning the kid that tells oral to walk off is the same kid that was put in the "special class" the class that was too "curious"
Man If we had gotten one more season involving clay's dad coming back into their lives That would honestly be the best way to resolve clay's character in the show. For both clay and his dad to forgive each other and reconcile
It is completely valid to really not like Bloberta but that birth scene and how she’s treated afterwards is absolutely brutal. I don’t think I’d even be cool watching a serial killer have to deliver their child by themselves while their husband puts a damn cigarette out on them (then be made to walk home a few days after birth while they take the car and also go to church right after birth without resting) She manipulated Clay and helped contribute to who he became but his best towards her is still abhorrent and we’re supposed to recognize and empathize even with characters that are bad people to some extent. I personally hate clay way more than Bloberta because I don’t consider her responsible for him falling as into alcohol any more than his father was. I think it’s important to acknowledge how other people helped shape him but all the problems he had from the start, his complete lack of guilt over his actions towards Orel, refusal to change or take responsibility, and how extreme he took things from a young age into account.
I can't believe that this is the last of Morel Orel, I still can't believe that it ended without much of the whole thing even finishing. Orel is just too sweet and lovable for this world, so pure hearted and it breaks me that he grew up in a wicked environment, but at least he broke the chain and is living happily. I enjoyed watching this series again with you, I'll surely miss it, it's a good thing there is internet. Thank you once again for your wonderful commentary (and laughs, especially the edit in this video) and I hope to see what else you are going to take under (is that the right term?)
Genuinely sad to see this being the last of Moral Orel. I don't think there can ever be a series like it. Nevertheless, I'm glad I came and stuck through this ride :)
But in the episode "Help", didn't Clay mention to Bloberta at a table "I'm an only child, my parents are DEAD"?. That moment was long before Orel was born, but yet in this special, Clay's father is alive again?? The creators might have made a continuouty error there..
They're dead to him is all that it meant, literally like two episodes after we get his backstory there wouldn't be such an obvious continuity error happening
I didn't think Clay's dad was that bad in the show, to be honest. Some of his reactions to what Clay did are kind of understandable, and in this special we learn that hes not a bad person at all. I dont think he ever was, Clay just got corrupted to be the monster he is by circumstance and circumstance alone. Clays dad was a little harsh I guess, and he was a hardass, but that was about it. Clay did the rest to become the monster he is.
4:58 My personal proof is what I experience when I was dead for nearly two hours. Granted, the afterlife isn’t all clouds and sunshine. More of a glowing mist covered cavernous expanse where I wandered for what felt like decades, pondering my life and actions, before I found a wall of neon light that opened before me. That said, it wasn’t St Peter at the opening, but a being of pure light who towered above me. I looked into their face and collapse as a burning statue of ash before being pulled from the pile as a young child, held aloft in their arms. Was carried across the threshold and set down, their hand extended to lead me further into the realm of light I then found myself in. Admittedly, part of me wanted to go, I felt whole, happy, and at peace, but a feeling nagged at me. Had I gone, i’d leave my poor mother distract and in anguish as her youngest son would’ve died while still in college. On top of that, I was a godfather, an uncle, and a caretaker, I couldn’t just leave. So I tugged on the being’s robe, they opened the gate, and I became one with my ashen form. Last thing I saw before coming back to life was the gate held open and them blowing a strong wind my way, filling my lungs with air as an energy seemed to surge through me. When I came back, I was in the church pew where everyone had left my corpse, thinking I had fallen asleep during the sermon. The priest had came to inspect me as he was closing up and he noticed the unfortunate smell starting to emanate from my corpse. He got a fright as my bones cracked, joints popped, and I let out a breathless gasp/scream for air. Ended up being monitored by my campus health center for a couple weeks afterwards as my body seemed to rot in some regard. My skin was bruised and sickly, I lost a lot of weight, and I smelt of death. Meanwhile the priests were curious to hear what I saw. Certainly got some of their eyebrows raised, but they were intrigued at least. Even the Rabbi who taught at our college sat in to listen. While it did disappoint me in some regard that it wasn’t what I was taught, granted I never expected pinpoint accuracy, it did bring me much closure that the mind persists after death.
