Yeah it did it at 4:30 after the last pull like it lost cam signal. Still a clean truck with good numbers
trying to spread the word: i have an 03 suburban 2500 with the 6.0. same issue with an intermittent long crank before starting. after changing fuel pump, fuel lines, pressure regulator, injectors, spark plugs, wires, coils, throttle body, MAF sensor, and crankshaft position sensor and still having the same problem, i finally changed the CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR and it starts up perfect every time now. so most likely its just that one sensor. could be either that one or crank sensor or both.
It's not uncommon for the cam sensor to not show a code but be bad, and really common for non-GM replacements to be junk.
This is Awesome. I found you because of your home-made turbo info on these trucks!!
That startup issue is just a Chevy thing lol. Mine did that before and after the cam... And before and after being tuned. I changed fuel pump, filter, injectors, fuel pressure regulator, complete ignition system, etc. My previous truck did the same thing and it was stock. Idk too many old Chevys that don't have that issue...
Mine does not and I have a 2001 LQ4
Both mine! Did it 01 and 02 5.3 tahoe when I got it and after I sold the first one I still got the second one going on 260k miles it still does the start up thing havnt change fuel pump tho hopefully that makes it better
i changed all those parts too including maf sensor, throttle body, and crank sensor. i changed the camshaft position sensor and the problem went away
Yeah buddy keep up the content!!! Much love from Cleveland TN
wow not too shabby at all!!! prolly does pretty good burnouts :)
maybe i can get discount code for terknado
apparently starter issue is due to aftermarket crank sensors not picking up signal immediately
I have a 5.3 with an Elgin E-1841-P "Sloppy Stage 3" Cam with longtubes and decapped LS injectors... It runs good but I'm curious as to what it would make on the Dyno
nice truck. I own the exact same truck use it to tow 10k lb fifth wheel. Sure wish you could / would have shown what the torque output was at with the headers, cam, tune and CAI.
factory specs say 300hp and 360 ft lb torque. do you think it might be near / above 400 ft lb?
im guessing with those mods 10 ft lbs its hard to increase torque esp at low rpm
Turn Up! 🎉

With a GoPro where was your go-to on mounting?
Could you possibly email me that tune file so I can use it for my base file? Same setup.
What headers are you using and part number?
👍
did you figure out the start issue? I have a similar thing but I think it's tune related. 50% of the time it won't start first crank but if I back off then crank it starts
i had the same exhaust issue. wound up being the cam sensor for me. pretty easy fix
So what was the max timing u put in it ? And what was the best air to fuel ratio you used
12.8 afr 27 degrees
Was that for 87 octane?
@@jesseparadis614191-93 octane 10.5/1 static compression
