0:54 - Defendant was in possession of a 19mm handgun..." Uh, no. 19mm is nearly 3/4", or 0.75 calibre. That would be a hand cannon, putting the 0.50 Desert Eagle to shame. He probably just misread 9mm as 19mm, but it was kinda funny.
This is only a PC hearing to determine if a crime was committed, not a trial. If it is determined if a crime was committed and reasonable suspicion that the defendant was involved, the judge asks if they want lawyer and if yes, if they can afford to have hire one. if they say they can't afford it, the judge has them fill out a financial form and if shown to be financially challenged, the judge orders a lawyer to represent them. This just is extremely fair to defendants and prosecutors. He takes no bull from either.
@@w9awx1thanks for the reply. I know this judge is very fair, but are all judges in Texas the same? There is no one to speak for the accused regarding the sufficiency of the evidence or the terms of the bond. Or even if they're put into custody right there. I think a duty public defender should be present.
You know, if anyone who gets bonded out of Judge Fleischer's court ever does anything *really* bad, someone's going to post a video of the judge with Stephen Amell saying, "You have failed this city!" (from Arrow Season 1).
There is a time and a place to race like that. I legally drove my BMW at 155 mph. That’s as fast as it would go back then. Find a racetrack or join the military and get stationed in a country where areas without speed limits exist. Don’t endanger people with racing in other areas.
It's wild that he only asks the people who are stereotypically Latino looking whether or not they are US citizens. If he's asking because it's Texas and there are a lot of immigrants - okay, but I hate to break it to you, there are people with all types of complexions in Central and South America. It's also crazy when he goes off on someone for not being dressed properly or speaking formally - in the name of respecting his court, but then he starts on some rather immature and unprofessional tirades where he insults defendants personally. It just seems incongruent with the professionalism and respect that his profession demands, and I question whether he's doing a disservice to his community when he's being so - effectively - petty. I don't know. In my opinion he should take a leaf from judge Simpson's book. No one balances being compassionate, professional, and caring - while also not being afraid to dish up some tough love - like the honorable judge Simpson.
Judge Fleischer: dressed to the nines. This man has style
Now he does. Someone must be helping him. What a delightful difference. I hate bowties except with a tux. 😂😂😂😂😂
His bow ties are delightful and he is always charming
"Living in a city as big as Houston without the ability to drive BUHLOWS!" I about spit my drink out!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I totally support taking their cars and suspending licenses.
Me too, that didn’t give a crap if they ran into our cars without insurance. They just walk away without a speck of guilt. Losers.

Looking pretty sharp today judge
My Judge lookin spicy 🌶
Does no one get a lawyer for the probable cause? He says they're entitled to have one but then there is no opportunity given to get one?

You are still not allowed to race In places without speedlimits.

You can tell a lot about somebody who says and doesn't say Please and Thank You, even in positions where they don't HAVE to. It says a lot.

Hello fellow humans.
It's wild that he only asks the people who are stereotypically Latino looking whether or not they are US citizens.
