  • Got a call for a road trip to hunt down an abandoned house with a roasty toasty 1956 RJ35 sitting in the back yard.

    Man I love to see things like that! Love to find em barn fresh or on that case forest fresh lol. Looks good as a lawn ornament!

    It's nice that it will still be enjoyed even as an ornament.

    Very cool old RJ35. Still could be fixed up but it looks good in the flower garden. I've got 2 old WH's from people's flower gardens! 1959 RJ59 and a 1964 Model 704.

      I gave my friend a lot of "poop" for just planting that RJ35 .

      I use to have a 704. Gave to a former friend, don't know if he still has it or not. He was suppose to use it at antique tractor shows.

      The 704 you have should be used yet again to mow your grass and to restore. They are extremely nice little tractors.

    Archaeological dig ! I could use the back section of that hood, belt guard, and probably some other parts...just picked up a barn find...retrofited with a "too big Tecumseh"...a real nut burner !

    Vin could you give me some pointers on how to get broken bolts out from a k341 engine cover or scroud and the one in the head thanks Ron K

    • @VinsGN
      @VinsGN  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Ron, difficult question to answer because its all depends on how corroded the remaining portion of the bolts are in the aluminum... sometimes you can weld a nut to the remaining portion of the bolt, the heat from the weld tends to loosen the bolt up and then you can use the nut to back the broken portion out... if that does't look to be an option, I would then think you will have to drill out the bolt in order to either use an "easy out" or bore it out until you can re-tap the whole... sometimes a little heat and PB Blaster can help... just make sure you do not over heat the aluminum... IMO if funds permit I would look for a good bearing plate and ditch the one you have... In the long run it may cost you less in mental anguish... As for the head the I would just drill and tap it out to the best of your ability and run with it.

    Instead of a "Barn Find," I guess you could say that this is a "Farm" Find! 😊

    Nice Video. I just found a WH for free, but I think is from the 1970's. Are those Worth Saving? Thanks
