Love the video. I’ve climbed Anne twice this route (in the 1980s and 90s) and once from the northeast ridge (Sandfly Creek route), which is a similar scramble but no more tricky. Great memories!
Cheers Marty, that's brilliant. Tassie never disappoints. Crazy lazy leg, bit beyond me these days I reckon. Good luck mate, look forward to checking your other adventures out, subbed ✌🏻
If you are in Victoria @outandabout_oz I just did around Mt Bogong (highest peak in VIC) over Aus Day Long Weekend ...That was the easy part...but part of my tramp went from Cleve Cole hut and down to Big River (its part of the A.A.W.T)...now normally you head up the other side to Roper Hut...but I decided to try to get to Cairn Creek hut (Google map : Cairn Creek SEC Hut) via Big River itself! There IS NO TRACK!!! Stay tuned!
very cool, I am in Canberra and usually hover around the north end of the AAWT. Did Bogong years ago, should get it back on the radar. Lots to like about the Vic high country. Look forward to your adventure ✌🏻 @@martyfelber6102
That “dodgy” bit brought back memories of doing it covered in ice. You just didn’t know if your feet were going to fly out and go sailing into space! Fortunately they didn’t,
to anyone interested - don't take the extreme left route over the exposed ledge (the old route). it can be very dangerous, particularly when icy or even wet. I find the best way (easiest and safest) is straight ahead, up the guts of the steep gully. It looks tricky but isn't too bad.
Great info 👍

Is that the way the guys were taking before they turned down and went left?
@@martyfelber6102the best way up ?
yep
I remember the old route when I went up in about 1990, and going up that crack on the left did *not* feel as easy as they made it look.
