Shakira became suspicious because the jam she eats and pique doesnt like were always running out.
Today shakira put a witch maniquin directed at her mother in laws house blasting this song on loop as his mother helped him and his mistress hide aroung for months before being caught.
And also, her ex mother in law is actually her neighbor, she lives in the house beside Shakira's.

Listen, the whole point of the song is in the lyrics even tough the music and the melody are so good and catchy. The lyrics is really a good description of the ex and the girlfriend he has now, she created these lines where she divides Spanish words and she can use Pique's last name and girlfriend's name (Clara) so people has no doubts who are Shakira referring to. She says "clearly" in Spanish is Clara-mente Being the mistress name Clara. When Shakira says "sorry my music splashes you" in Spanish the verb is "sal-Pique" being that the last name of her ex. I have never listened a song that is so DIRECT and straight to the point of the issues in the relationship but she tells it like it is. She includes lines like these " you got me your mom as a neighbor, the press at the door and left me handling the treasury debt (meaning the equivalent to IRS in Spain with a 3 million dollars suit) but " women now we don't cry we just make money). She tells Pique he changed a Rolex (Shakira) por a Casio (the girlfriend) ad later "you changed a Ferrari for a Twingo (very small and cheap car)" Yes, it's a revenge song. Hi You are missing a lot of details in the context of this song so I'm gonna try my best to explain them.She was married to Gerard Piqué, a famous footballer, and he cheated on her apparently with a young girl called "Clara Chía" (and allegedly with other girls) so the first reference would be when she says "yo solo hago música perdona que te sal-pique" - " I only make music sorry if it splashes you", since it ends with "Piqué", his exs name, it's clear who she's talking about.
Then, she says "she has the name of a good person" because "Clara" (in English it's Claire) sounds like the name of somebody who is innocent and good, so then she says "Clara-mente no es como suena" which means "Clairly (or Claire-ly) is not as it sounds", again naming indirectly his new girlfriend called Clara.
Also she says I'm better than two 22 year olds cos his new girlfriend is 22 and she says this at 2:22 minute of the song.
