Beautifully machined pin mounts on that Vanasche Motorports / Molecule plate....just like all of our products!! :)
Got the AXP, the rear most black part that locates in holes in frame broke right away.
Easy to see why, they made it thin with a sharp edged really thin spot.
For the money I had hoped for better.

Thanks for the video upload, I love the products you carry for the 690/701. I am a little late to the party but I've been needing a new skid plate to replace the stock thin plastic one. I like the look of the axp but I think the molecule is just a litttle more protective because of the overall size. I like how it comes up higher under the header to keep mud and rocks away from the motor and thermostat/water pump, the vanaache hardware is always a plus. I'd imagine both would work fine. Curious which is more stable on a jack stand though. Anyways thank you, hope your healed up and riding a bit Jeff, even if its not offroad!
They are both stable on a stand.
Probably another year before I'm healed but I can ride better than I can walk. I'm on the gas and waiting for the gnarly mtn. trails to melt.
Would be good to know the weights of the AXP and Vanasche/Molecule plates.
Good review - just for info the AXP plate is quite different now they have upgraded it.

No and I don't see the need to go through that monkey drill for a product that fits an extremely over-weight motorcycle.
