I take it you own an over 4,000 hp pulling tractor ? Silicone sprayed and coated all over the inside of the turbo doesn’t sound like a good idea. More of a safety hazard of concern.

I have never heard this mentioned, but not being able to see what the exhaust is doing must be a little scary ? Not able to see how tight the smoke is and if there's a flame that could warn you and shut it down ? Obviously I know why they collect the smoke, but it must be a little un-nerving.
Love the American Videos ,but so much YAP . But it made me laugh , I bet that took some cleaning up. I expect it became Scrap LOL Who built it / Mr Mcgoo ?

A person was killed at a PA pull last year, the turbo detonated and she was hit by shrapnel. Sad things happen when you least expect it.

Keep the engine from stalling until it warms up enough to stay running
It has big injectors so it will actually flood with fuel if it doesn’t have enough heat in the motor

They run lower compression, diesel fuel has trouble igniting in the cylinder with until the cylinders get hot.
